The back muscles are a complex network supporting posture, movement, and breathing, divided into three layers:

Superficial (like Trapezius, Latissimus Dorsi), moving the shoulders and arms;

Intermediate (like Serratus Posterior), involved in breathing;

and Deep/Intrinsic (like Erector Spinae, Multifidus), stabilizing and moving the spine itself, controlling posture and vertebral alignment, from neck to hips.

Our Story

We know that pain slows you down and makes you grumpy. And, that everyday things are more of an effort. PAIN makes it HARDER or impossible to continue with your sport or hobby and sometimes your work.

After a thorough assessment and listening to your problems we offer you a variety of treatments that we think will best help you.

We typically help people who have back and neck pain, shoulder pain and knee pains. From our data collection we know that our clients are better within 3-5 sessions. AND,We offer a full money back guarantee if you are not happy after your initial consultation.

Why not take advantage of our FREE ‘get out of pain quickly telephone consultation’, where you will have the opportunity to talk to a member of our team at a time that suits you? After a brief chat about your pain you will get SOME TIPS on how to help yourself based on the latest research . There is NO OBLIGATION to attend for treatment after speaking with us AND it may not be appropriate anyway.if you would like to take advantage of this offer just email us at athertonphysio@gmail.com and ask for a call.We also offer free consultations for those with lower back, shoulder and neck pain, to see if we can help or not.
