🏋️‍♂️Now is the time to be working on building strength to maintain good running form and prevent injuries during your training.

💪Heavy strength training at this time allows you to make the necessary gains to maintain during your training once the running volume increases in the new year.

📈Rather than guess where your strengths and weaknesses lie, our Athlete Screening sessions comprise of a series of tests to assess key running muscle groups in line with normative data to determine any weaknesses and imbalances.

🏋️‍♀️These can be corrected through personalised prescribed strength programmes or our weekly Runners Strength and Conditioning classes held on Tuesdays 7pm-8pm.

The Worsley Physio team were out in full force today showing off their expertise…
took part in the half marathon and finished in a fantastic time meanwhile was competing in the Southport Triathlon and performed exceptionally well as ever.

Super proud of our amazing team, as always, having a team of Sports Physios who understand the demands of sports not only physically but also mentally plays a massive part in our ability to help you through your rehabilitation journey to achieve the goals you desire.

Our team goes from strength to strength to ensure we provide YOU with the best possible treatment and rehabilitation to achieve your goals no matter how big or small.

Next week brings a new face to the team, an experienced Physio in the sporting world with a vast amount of knowledge and skills.

Kristian completed his Sports Therapy degree back in 2003 and started working in academy football with Leeds United before moving to Hartlepool United to head their academy medical department. He also worked with Sunderland AFC in both academy and first team roles and well as freelance private practice.

Kristian later completed his Physiotherapy degree before embarking on a Sports Medicine masters program.

Following on from this Kristian has worked as the Senior Fjrst Team Physiotherapist at Accrington Stanley, followed by a move to Swindon Town Football Club to be their Head of Medical.

Kristian’s current role sees him running the medical department at Burton Albion Football Club in EFL League One as the Head of Medical and Performance.

Kristian has worked in a range of sports including athletics, tennis and dancing. Much of this has been individual work with elite international athletes within each sector.

In his spare time, he enjoys running and going to the gym.

Kristian will be working in clinic Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
