The moon it shines as bright as day 🌝🪿

On Thursday, we had the pleasure of tuning in to a livestream of Mercury Theatre Colchester Mother Goose pantomime.

What a fantastic show it was — full of fun, laughter, and some truly brilliant performances!

Gillian absolutely loved the performance — she said it brought back wonderful memories of going to the theatre in her younger years🎭✨

🎄 Christmas Fayre 2025 🎄

What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday at our annual Christmas Fayre!

We were delighted to be joined by some fantastic local small businesses. Little Larissa's
treated us to her delicious bakes, Rose brought along her amazing sweet boxes, Gina represented Tropic Skincare with her lovely goodies, Manchester Worker Bees showcased beautiful handmade gifts and lots more incredible stalls! 🎁🧁

Our tombola was, as always, a huge hit! From Angi winning some tasty chocolate treats to Dawn walking away with a bottle of tequila, there were plenty of fantastic prizes enjoyed throughout the day🍫🥂

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so special. Together, we raised over £600 for our Residents Fund! 🤩

Our raffle winner will be announced next Friday, so if you bought a ticket, keep an eye on our page. There’s still time to enter—tickets are available at reception! 💜

Elf vs Santa! 💚❤️

We’re really getting into the festive spirit here at Four Oaks, with our ladies and gents donning their favourite hats ready to compete in a fun Santa vs Elf competition.

How fast could you fill the bowls with chocolate coins or how good are you at moving the candy canes using only a straw - these were the challenges set for our teams!

Of course everyone’s a winner here and both teams scored the same! 🤩👏🏼

Our Four Oaks Care Home inspired tree is all set up at St Mary's Church, Partington and Carrington, as part of their annual Christmas Tree Festival🤩🌲

Visit the church during the following times:

* Thu 4th: 4pm-6pm
* Fri 5th: 10am-12noon & 4pm-6pm
* Sat 6th: 10am-3pm

Be sure to drop in and look around at all the tree's decorated by local organisations! 🌲💜

With the winter months now upon us, a few of our ladies and gents decided it was time to top up our Homes bird feeders with a selection of dried mealworms, fat balls and sunflower seed mixture 🐦🪶

Giving our residents the chance to watch our visiting feathered friends from the warmth of our sun lounge 🥰

Ian reminisced about hanging bird feeders in his garden in younger years, whilst Ann commented that they were fun to make and a great idea as the weather is much chillier now and food is harder for them to find 💜

Our cheeky elf tried to make a run for it with the raffle hamper - but luckily we caught them just in time!
