For we made the most of a beautiful summers day today planting herbs such as sage, mint and thyme in our mini planters. 🪴🌿

A few of our more green-fingered ladies enjoyed a chat about using different herbs in drinks and food and are excitedly looking forward to seeing our little plants grow - we hope to use them in mocktails soon! 🍹🌞

Taking good care of our gardens feathered friends is an important aspect of living at Four Oaks 🐦🪶

Our ladies and gents came together to replenish our bird feeders and have a chat about our favourite garden birds, which included the robin and the blackbird 🌱

Frank’s favourite bird is the brightly coloured kingfisher, which he often saw whilst fishing with friends as a youngster.

We were delighted to be invited to St Mary's Church, Partington and Carrington on Tuesday evening for Reverend Jane’s Service of Institution ⛪️

Reverend Jane is a truly compassionate and uplifting person, always greeting everyone with a warm smile. She plays an important role in the lives of many of our residents - whether leading our monthly services or offering comfort and support to residents and their families during difficult times 🥰

Our Lifestyle Manager, Chloe, and Activities Coordinator, Dawn, were honoured to attend on behalf of the home, with Dawn sharing a few heartfelt words of appreciation during the service.

We would like to wish Reverend Jane every success in this new chapter and extend our sincere thanks for everything she does. She is genuinely appreciated by us all

We celebrated St George’s Day with some themed arts and crafts, creating mini dragon figures - using only card, glue, sellotape and a little imagination! 🐉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

It was a lovely therapeutic afternoon of crafting and catching up with friends old and new. Once completed, the little creatures were displayed in bedrooms-and Gill said she was going to put hers to good use - as a pencil and felt tip pen holder! 💜

Well, that’s not something you see every day…

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful Chelsea, our Generation Fitness instructor - but this visit came with a twist. She seemed to have grown a few feet taller overnight! 🤩

As part of our celebrations, Chelsea arrived on stilts, complete with glowing LED wings, and made her way around the home, stopping to visit everyone along the way. She certainly turned heads! 🧚✨

We jokingly offered her a feather duster while she was up so high, but she assured us there was no need—no cobwebs or dust to be found here, thanks to our amazing domestic team!

Beryl was amazed at both Chelsea’s height and her incredible balance, while Andrew said the lights reminded him of Christmas 🥹🥰

A huge thank you to Chelsea for bringing something so unique and memorable to our home. We all thoroughly enjoyed your visit!💜

Today we said a fond farewell to our Generation Fitness instructor, Chelsea, as she relocates and moves on to her next chapter 🏡

What an unforgettable time we had last week when Kelvin J Wood joined us, bringing hit after hit from across the decades!

From toe-tapping to a full dance floor, he had everyone moving and singing along - the energy in the room was absolutely electric 💃🏼🕺

It was an afternoon bursting with joy, laughter, togetherness, and fantastic music… we loved every minute! 🤩💜

Hi all, I would like to introduce myself. I am Stacey Butler the new manager of Four Oaks. I have worked in care for 26 years and commenced my role in the kitchen, laundry, housekeeping, care, and been in management for the last 11 years. My passion is dementia care and I have studied a dementia degree with Bradford University. The team and residents have been very welcoming and I am looking forward to working with everyone to provide stability and identify any improvements required.
