The month of October is Menopause Awareness Month, and World Menopause Day is held annually on 18 October. It aims to break taboos and improve women’s health and wellbeing by raising awareness about the symptoms of menopause and the support options available.
The theme for World Menopause Day 2025 is Lifestyle Medicine, which marks a significant physiological transition with far-reaching implications for women’s long-term health and wellbeing.
At Delta Care, we understand that menopause can bring many changes and you don’t have to go through it alone.
Our Menopause Lead, Roni Holt, is available if you’d like support understanding the transition or simply need someone to listen. 💬
Clean hands remain a fundamental defence against the spread of infections, illnesses, and harmful germs. Whether in hospitals, schools, or everyday interactions, practising handwashing with soap/handwash contributes to better health outcomes and a safer world.
Let's spread awareness for a safer world!

Well done, Team Delta Care! 💚
We successfully completed the Glow Walk on Saturday and raised an amazing £1,070 in support of Trinity Hospice & Palliative Care Services.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the cause and a big shoutout to Lorraine for organising the bake sales and helping raise additional funds. Great effort from everyone who took part and walked for such a meaningful cause! ✨

World Mental Health Day 💚
This year, we’ll be marking the day in a simple but meaningful way across all our branches. Each branch will host an “Empower Half Hour”, a dedicated time to pause, connect, and focus on wellbeing.
Some ideas include: a lunchtime walk with colleagues, a short break to share hobbies or outside interests, or a coffee and catch-up with a teammate. We’ve also attached the 10 Keys to Happier Living to inspire you.
Let’s take this opportunity to remind ourselves and each other that mental health matters every single day, because everyone deserves good mental health.
We have our Mental Health First Aider, Kat Nicholls, who you can reach out to if you ever need someone to talk to.
We also provide access to an Employee Assistance Programme, fully funded by Delta Care.
This service is: ✔️ 100% confidential – Delta Care does not receive any information about you. ✔️ Available 24/7 to support you with personal or work-related challenges.
So don’t forget if you need any support, you can contact Confidential Care 0800 085 1376 or +44(0)20 7938 0963 Email: assist@cicwellbeing.com Text relay: 18001 0800 085 1376
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support. Your well-being matters.

Only 1 to go!!
After being postponed, we are again excited to be taking part in this year’s Blackpool Glow Walk on Friday, 10th October 2025, starting at 7:30pm.
This event is especially close to our hearts. Our Registered Manager, Kat, has been walking for many years in memory of her mum, and we’d love for you to join us in supporting such a wonderful cause.
Due to the impact of Storm Amy, which includes gusts of up to 50mph, tomorrow night's event has been postponed.
It will now take place on Friday, 10th October.
