π We're back with a "Benefits of massage" post! How did I ever forget this one? π
β€ So here we're back for part 6 - just like the crappy Friday the 13th films that pretend the franchise is over, only to continue forever. This time we're looking at the effects of massage on blood pressure for people with hypertension or prehypertension β€
So there is significant evidence that massage can have significant effects on both systolic blood pressure (SBP - the top reading) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP - the bottom reading).
π Now, since I am also a strength and fitness conditioning coach, I will ALWAYS encourage people to lead a healthy active life, eat well, and sleep well, and these things will all help to lower blood pressure to healthy levels ( ) πͺ
πββοΈBut if massage can also help with this and is extremely safe, it relaxes people, and makes people feel good, I say include it in your personal health treatment! What harm is a weekly or twice weekly massage going to do?
You get one body - your one true home - treat it well! πββοΈ
