Hi, I’m Carly and I thought I’d start the new year with a hello and welcome from me!

I’m 35 and a self taught wire artist working and running this business from my home studio in Manchester. This year I’ll be working from our loft and can’t wait to get started on making it my dream work space 💭

I have two sons (6 & 3) with my partner of 13 years, who all support me massively and I’m lucky enough to have the flexibility to fit work around them 🏠

Before working for myself, I worked in children’s mental health for the NHS delivering therapies in schools and hospitals. I loved the job, however took the decision to go fully self employed in 2020 when balancing orders, work and being a mum became too much of a juggle. Every year that passes I count my blessings for being able to support my family from self employment ✨

I bought my first reel of wire and pliers in December 2017 (over 7years ago 🤯) and fell in love with the craft and all that can be created ➰

I’ve learned so much over the years and feel like I’ve found my individual style within this sector. This year my focus is on creating more seasonal ranges and gifting, whilst also hopefully growing the wholesale side of the business and doing more markets 🛍️

My proudest achievement of 2024 was being accepted to Pop-up in the Manchester Arndale (my home town shopping centre) with and selling over 100 items in the 6weeks I was with them 🫶🏻

I’ve decided to start this year with the challenge by to help motivate me with social media and showing up on here 👋🏻

Hello January!
It’s my first day back on the wire today so I’m breaking my grid silence to say hello and wishing you all the best for 2024 💫

2023 was definitely a rollercoaster for me in business (especially through the summer months) but I’m so grateful to still be here and planning another year of wire art for you all. I’m so excited to see what the year brings and to work with you on your wire ideas 🤩

Turnaround has now resumed back to 7-14days for custom orders.

I started my journey with Curated Makers this time last year, and I am so excited to be joining them again for not 1 but 2 of their pop ups this Christmas.
