Withington Pride: A Call Out for Q***r, Transgender and Intersex People of Colour.
Coconut is a facilitated discussion about how systemic racism subtly embeds itself in the daily lives of members of the global majority, exploring the often-unseen ways individuals internalise and uphold oppressive norms. The discussion explores these themes of 'othering' through the lens of food, culture and community. They are inviting QTIPOC* to attend a workshop, which aims to bring people together to explore the intersections of othering as q***r and Global Majority folk, find connections, solace and a shared understanding. 🚨 Measles Know the Symptoms🚨

Measles isn't just a childhood illness – adults can get it too, and it can be serious.

🦠 Here are the common symptoms of measles in adults to watch out for:

✅ High temperature
✅ Cough
✅ Runny or blocked nose
✅ Red, sore, watery eyes
✅ Sneezing
✅ Tiny white spots inside the mouth
✅ A blotchy red rash that usually starts on the face/neck and spreads to the rest of the body

🕒 Symptoms usually appear 7–14 days after exposure. The rash typically appears 2–5 days after the first symptoms.

⚠️ Measles is highly contagious. If you or someone you know shows signs, especially after recent travel or exposure, contact your GP or NHS 111 immediately and avoid going to public places.

💉 Vaccination is the best protection. Check your MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine status.
