For our last Qiyaam on January 31st, 2025 we had a packed session where the girls started off with a discussion about the Mothers of Scholars (Imam Ash Shafi, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, and Imam Al Bukhari). Then we were lucky to have a wonderful psychotherapist, Sr. Aishah Malik from Tasali Therapy, come talk to the girls about self-confidence and how we can connect it back to Allah's names. A special thank you to all our volunteers who constantly show up to do talks and games with the girls ❤️

Youth-Shine’s final Qiyaam for 2024 will be on 13th December from 18:30 - 21:30 at BMHC.

This year our theme is Traits of the Great: Builders of a Nation. This session will include an ice breaker, talk on Aisha RA, multi-sports and Food.

During our last Qiyaam the girls enjoyed their time learning about Zainab bint Mohammad (RA), participating in a Henna Workshop and playing some games! JazakAllah Kheiran to sisters Samiah and Sonya for helping lead our Henna Workshop and doing some henna designs for the girls 😊

Registration is now open for *Swimming* at *Withington Baths* on *Saturday 18th November* at *4:30pm-5:30pm*

*Please only register your daughter if she knows how to swim - this is not a swimming lesson, it's a session for the girls to swim around and have fun in the pool.*

Registration is open for *girls aged 11-18*. We have opened it up to 11 year olds exclusively for this event.

After the success of our Summer of Sport programme - Youth SHINE and MAB Youth are happy to offer fortnightly sports sessions to girls aged 13-18. We will have a variety of sports on offer for the girls to choose, and give them an opportunity to try something new.

Youth SHINE and MABYouth Manchester are happy to have offered the girls "Summer of Sport 2023"

Over 75 girls took part in a variety of activities including rock climbing, yoga, water sports, martial arts, archery and boxing!

We thank our sponsors Sporting Equals and Sweaty Betty Foundation for supporting us with our programme.

I hope and pray everyone is well.

Firstly we would like to apologise for the silence. We have been working quietly behind the scenes to put together a programme for the girls which is sustainable educational and fun.

Insha Allah we will be having one Qiyaam a month (last Friday of each month) at *BMHC* from the new time of *6.30-9.30pm*

Your daughter will have to register each month to attend the Qiyaam using the link on the poster included below 👇🏾

Your daughter will have an all around experience of prayers, games , islamic reminders , food and to build better and stronger sisterhood Insha Allah.

The first session will be * Friday 29th September *

Join us on the 26th August for the fifth sport in the "Summer of Sport" programme run by MAB Youth and Youth SHINE.

Please register for Water Sports (Kayaking and Canoeing) at Burnage Rugby Club, Battersea Road, SK4 3EA at 14:00 - 16:15.

For this event, pick-up will be different from the drop off location. Girls will need to be dropped off to Burnage Rugby Club, but then will be picked up from Northenden Riverside Park. This is because the girls will be kayaking/canoeing down the river.
