✨ New lunchtime yoga class - launching next Monday in Cheadle ✨

I’m so excited to be bringing Rooted Soul Yoga to in Cheadle with a brand new lunchtime Hatha class, starting one week today.

This has been a long time coming - I’m thrilled to be part of the beautiful community that Yvette has created at Sangha, but also I grew up in Cheadle, so it feels like a real homecoming!

This 45 minute lunchtime practice is a little island of calm focus in the middle of your Monday. With breath-led movement we’ll soften tight shoulders, steady busy minds and build strength in body and mind. Sound good? Book yourself a mat.

Perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike.

🥹 This week I left my role at and this amazing team, which I have been so proud to be part of! I couldn’t have asked for more fun, interesting, creative and passionate colleagues - and friends! Thank you Team VA ❤️🙏🏼❤️

It was not an easy choice to leave - but from tomorrow I’m going full time yogi with my own business . Not something I thought I’d ever be writing!

This really has always felt like a dream, one that I have worked hard for in countless hours of study and prep - but with no real expectation of the outcome. And so every client, class and event feels like such a gift 🙏🏼

Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me to take this leap, booked a session, offered me opportunities, encouraged me, supported me and practiced with me this year. Your kind words landed and made a difference.

January can feel full of noise. Messages telling us to overhaul our lives, change our habits, become someone new... But what if you’re already doing ok? Or better than bloody ok - brilliantly! You are undoubtedly doing better than you think.

Before rushing ahead, winter invites us to pause. To rest. To reflect on what’s already here. What supported you this past year? What felt nourishing? When did you feel most yourself? What quietly worked without needing force?

At Rooted Soul Yoga, intention setting starts with grounding first. Breathing, moving and listening - so that whatever comes next grows from steadiness and authenticity rather than pressure.

🙏🏼 Ending my teaching year in the best way I know!

Today was my final Rooted Soul session of the year - and it felt so special that it was with Connor, who I’ve worked with for the past 8 months now.

During our relaxation at the end of the session, Connor gently closed his eyes - for the first time - letting his face relax and his head soften fully into the mat. A small moment on the surface, but for someone who could not lie down when we started working together, and who certainly wouldn’t let his head relax on the mat, this was a powerful moment of trust - a beautiful sign of the safety he now feels in his body.

🥳 Today’s session also marked nearly one full year of Rooted Soul Yoga!

A year of learning along the way, building connections, taking bold leaps and witnessing quiet, steady progress - in my students and myself. I’m so proud of everything Connor has achieved this year, and deeply grateful to end 2025 reminded of why this work matters so much - absolute magic! 💫

Is calm on your Christmas list?

Among the tinsel, to-do lists and mince pies, this is your reminder to pause. Christmas can be joyful and definitely full of fun, but it can also be a lot... Taking time for yourself isn’t indulgent, it’s essential!

Over the festive period my Monday classes continue, offering space to breathe, move and soften the nervous system (as well as a chance for me to take a break from the fam for an hour or two 😜). Conscious breath reconnects us to ourselves, inviting gratitude, love, calm and a more positive way of moving through the darker months.

If you’re craving a little festive peace, I’d love to welcome you to the mat.

YOGA AT WORK | This was a very lovely start to Tuesday this week... ✨

I guided an 8am mindful breath workshop for at Chancery Place in Manchester - the sunrise over the city really brought the magic!

We spent some time talking about what pranayama really is, and how powerful the breath can be in balancing the nervous system, before easing into some gentle movement and then sitting for half an hour of breathing practices and meditation. The perfect way to start the day feeling grounded and focused.

Huge thank you to and for having me 🙏 I’m excited to be back with them in January, leading an after work restorative yoga practice for one of their next networking events.

🧘🏻 Working one-to-one with Caryn over the last five months has been such a joy. I’ve known her for 5 years now through , where she’s a studio artist, and someone who brings a lot of joy to the workshops. Earlier this year she had a bad fall, which led to a hip operation, and she came to me for support as she began her recovery journey.

We work entirely through a gentle, chair-based practice rooted in Special Yoga approaches (I trained with ) - focusing on rehabilitation, rebuilding confidence, and improving strength, mobility and flexibility. We also explore body awareness through breath and sound, and support her nervous system to find more balance and ease.

And honestly? We chat and laugh a lot! Caryn’s humour and big heart make every session bright, and it’s been wonderful to witness her progress. In the words of , you should be very proud of yourself Caryn! That blanket at the end is much deserved 😊
