Recent reported burglary in the Ladybarn area which is populated not only local residents but university students who tend to occupy a number of address’s in the area.
On this occasion the victims mortice lock had been forced, however offenders did not enter the address to take anything

For your awareness and security with this being an area densely populated with students, who tend to have electronic goods such as laptops and tablets etc which can be worth quite a bit for the opportunist burglar. As we know, burglary is an awful crime and at this time of the year when students have just moved to the city and nights are becoming darker, please be reminded of the dangers of leaving windows and doors unlocked.

Community engagement in Whalley Range.
Beat Officer Rahman, along with Councillor Angeliki Stogia met with concerned residents and other members of the community re issues around ASB in Alness Rd this week (15th Oct)
There had been concerns over recent increased issues and several ASB reports around a particular property.
Community members were happy with the police response and action from our last meeting and said incidents have calmed down in the vicinity. Since police involvement, 3 people have been evicted from a hostel due to antisocial behaviour and other service users have agreed a good behaviour contract.👮🏽

Keith McKenzie (61), sadly died at his address on Chadwick Close, Manchester, on 10/10/25.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

| Officers are appealing for information following an RTC in south Manchester.

On 10/09/25 a collision occurred on Princess Road between a Kia Sportage and a Jaguar XF Luxe.

On 07/10/25 the driver of the Jaguar – a man in his 50s – sadly died.

| Response officers arrest four after vehicle intercepted and weapons seized in south Manchester.

On Monday 6 October at around 9.54pm, we were called to reports of a disturbance at Ashdale Drive, in the area.

In relation to this incident, a suspected stolen vehicle was intercepted on Newville Drive.

Officers subsequently arrested four people.

Two men, aged 22 and 37, and a woman, aged 34, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

A man aged 23 was arrested on suspicion of affray, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class A substance.

They have all been remanded to custody for questioning.

| Following yesterday’s attacks at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Middleton Road in Crumpsall, extra uniformed police will be on patrol across Greater Manchester to provide reassurance.

There will also be increased visits to local places of worship. Further plans will be developed throughout today, into the evening, and over the weekend.

Our officers are there to reassure you, and whilst they may not be able to answer questions about the investigation, they will be happy to inform you about the actions we are taking to ensure communities are safe and feel safe.

He was last seen on Chervil Close, Fallowfield, at around 8am today (Tuesday 30 September). Roy left with his dog pictured.

have been deployed to the Fallowfield and Oxford Road area for Freshers Week this week. During this we have completed deployments on the Metrolink, bus network, cycle lanes and the roads resulting in:

14 arrests including, three people arrested for being shown as wanted for theft and breach of court bail conditions during a deployment at St Werburghs Metrolink.

Officers utilised stop search powers resulting in 39 searches being conducted by officers leading to the following arrests - two males found in possession of a folding lock knife from a vehicle stop, one male found in possession of extendable baton from a stop of a pedal cycle and one male found in possession of a Rambo hunting knife stopped on a modified electric bike. Five people were arrested for drug supply offences following two vehicle stops and the other arrests related to impaired drivers under the influence of co***ne and cannabis. Further searches were positive for drugs which were dealt with by alternative means.

| Officers attended a robbery of a pedal cycle on 24th September 2025 that occurred along the Loop at around 11am. We believe there are potentially two witnesses to this incident, however, they were not present when officers attended.
