Friday Review Round-Up.

Mike Manning Consultancy & Training Ltd we are lucky enough to work with some wonderful trainers and that’s always reflected in the reviews that we receive. Regardless of the reasons delegates attend a course their reactions to their experiences whilst attending training are always on a personal level.

How engaged a delegate feels and how relatable the trainer is, is always at the forefront of our delivery.

It's especially rewarding to hear we have had a positive impact when external factors can be at play.

This week was a scorcher !

So, who realistically wants to sit through (or deliver, if were honest ) a training course when the sun is shining and many colleagues are on their holidays.

A big thank you to our trainers for working so hard this week, and a huge shout out to our wonderful delegates who not only got stuck in but also took the time out to leave us some fantastic reviews.

Gold stars to you all x

Following on from the HSE Asbestos ebulletin that was released yesterday with regard to recent prosecutions in the Northwest, it seems like it’s a good time to remind businesses of their obligation to protect employees and the public.
If you are ever uncertain about your legal and moral obligations HSE have a wealth of information to help you navigate all things Health and Safety & Asbestos related.

Asbestos and You - reminds tradespeople about the dangers of asbestos exposure and the importance of working safely with it

Asbestos - Your Duty - informs those responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of non-domestic buildings of their legal duty to manage the risks of asbestos to those who use the building.

And of course, for all things Asbestos related you can’t go wrong visiting the UKATA website. Their whole ethos is embedded in promoting safe and responsible working practices. In particular developing and implementing the highest standard of training. You will find us on their directory.

Safety doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s built through awareness, leadership, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way, even when no one’s watching.

Whether you're running a small business, managing a team, or just starting out, embedding safety and wellbeing into your culture isn’t just good practice it’s essential.

Every risk you reduce, every hazard you spot, and every process you follow doesn't just protect your employees and yourself it protects the productivity of your business and your reputation.

Key points within a good health and safety culture include :

Regular training
Clear communication
Proper equipment and any relevant training associated
A mindset that puts well being first

So let’s make safety second nature and not just a checklist, because the best workplaces aren’t just efficient, they’re safe.

When you click to start a post in LinkedIn it asks you a simple question.

What would you like to talk about ?

Wouldn't it be amazing if we all felt safe enough in the workplace to open up and be honest about what we need and want to talk about.

How fantastic would it be to be surrounded by people that have noticed a change in you and reach out.

What a difference it would make if you were supported and signposted to those charities and organisations that can help you in a time of need.

Don't we all deserve time, attention and careful consideration.

What if the companies we work for felt the same and they made it their mission to equip all employees to be on the lookout for those that really need to talk.

A workplace culture where looking out for each other is second nature.

MMCT Ltd are a training provider and we have a number of courses to help your business help your employees.

I've been a bit quiet on here for the last week, although back in the business for a little while now I still haven't quite got my planning right when it comes to our Social Media posts, I didn't leave myself enough time to set up some posts before being away. So lessons learnt there for the future...BUT you know what I think that's OK, it was a fantastic few days, where we both completely switched off from work ( I hid Mike's laptop ) and had a ball.

Sometimes that's just what you need.

So to make it a bit more professional based post wise.....

If you would like to book some training or would appreciate some health and safety advice please let us know.

Any questions about Kendal Calling and if its worth going...absolutely it is 😁 💃 🕺 🎶 🎵 🎶

IOSH Managing Safely Refresher – 18th August

Got your IOSH Managing Safely certificate but need it refreshing?

We’ve got you covered!

Join us on Monday 18th August for our next Refresher course – a great way to stay on top of your responsibilities, keep your knowledge sharp, and prove your commitment to safety.

This Managing Safely Refresher is remote learning via zoom, so it's ideal for anyone throughout the UK and beyond to join.

Some key things to remember are that you will need a quiet room where you will be uninterrupted and you will also need the ID number of your IOSH Managing Safely Certificate in order to qualify for the refresher.

IOSH recommend the refresher course is taken within 3 to 5 years of the original training.

Spaces are limited but we still have some available, so if your certificate’s due for an update, don't delay.

Drop us a message or email hello@mmct.co.uk to reserve your spot or ask any questions.

Let’s keep safety simple, sensible – and up to date !
