🏏 Protection has come a long way… Cricket introduced the box in the 1800s, but helmets didn’t become common until 100 years later.

Safe to say - priorities have evolved 😅 But it highlights an important point 👉 Looking after one part of your body isn’t enough.

Cricket places demands on your whole body - from head to toe:
✔️ Concussion awareness
✔️ Shoulder and back health
✔️ Core strength
✔️ Lower limb stability

The players who stay on the pitch all season aren’t just protected… They’re prepared.

🏏 Look after the whole you, not just the obvious bits. If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked early - we’re here to keep you playing.

🌍 Your health is your greatest asset - on and off the pitch.
Cricket performance isn’t just about skill. It’s built on a foundation of:
✔️ Strength
✔️ Mobility
✔️ Recovery
✔️ Injury prevention

Too often, players only focus on their health after something goes wrong. But staying fit, pain-free, and available all season comes from what you do consistently behind the scenes.

💡 This World Health Day, make your health a priority - not an afterthought.
Whether it’s addressing a ni**le, improving your movement, or building resilience, small steps now can make a big difference over the season.

🏏 Be proactive. Stay strong. Keep playing.

📲 If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked early — book in with us and take control of your health this season.

🐰 Easter is all about fresh starts - and there’s no better time to reset after injury. Whether you’ve been dealing with a ni**le over winter or working your way back from time out, now is the moment to rebuild, refocus, and get your body ready for the season ahead.

Too often, players rush back too soon… and turn small setbacks into longer spells on the sidelines.

💡 The key to a strong comeback:
✔️ Gradual progression
✔️ Targeted strength work
✔️ Restoring full movement and confidence
✔️ Not skipping the final stages of rehab

Because getting back on the pitch is one thing…
Staying there is what really matters.

Use this Easter as your reset and come back stronger 💪

📲 Need help with rehab or returning to play? Book in with us and let’s get you match-ready.

🏏 Are you ready? The outdoor cricket season is just around the corner, and now is when injuries are either prevented… or set in motion.

Every year, we see players go from minimal winter activity straight into match intensity, and it’s one of the biggest reasons for early-season injuries.

⚠️ In the next 4 weeks, your focus should be:

✔️ Gradually increasing bowling workloads
✔️ Building strength (especially core & shoulders)
✔️ Improving mobility after the off-season
✔️ Getting back into sprinting and match movements

Turning up to your first game shouldn’t be your first proper workout.

💡 The players who stay injury-free aren’t just the most talented - they’re the most prepared.

Need help getting match-ready? Book a pre-season assessment with our Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and start your season strong 💪

A reminder this that recovery doesn’t just happen in the clinic or the gym - it happens while you sleep 💤

Quality sleep helps:
🏏 Repair muscles and tissues
🦵 Reduce injury risk
🧠 Improve focus and reaction time
⚡ Boost energy for training and match days

If you’re dealing with an injury or pushing your body through training, sleep is one of the most powerful recovery tools you have.

So tonight, prioritise rest - your body will thank you on the pitch 💪

March is 🍎🥦 The 2026 theme is “Discover the Power of Nutrition”. At Cricket Injury Clinic, we know recovery isn’t just about rehab exercises and treatment tables - it starts on your plate.

The right nutrition can:
🏏 Fuel performance on match day
🦵 Support muscle repair and injury recovery
🦴 Strengthen bones and tendons
🧠 Boost focus and mental resilience
⚡ Sustain energy through long training sessions and time at the crease

Whether you’re managing a stress fracture, rehabbing a hamstring strain, or simply aiming to stay match-fit all season, informed food choices and balanced, nutrient-rich meals can make a real difference.

Why not try our “Fuel for the First Innings” breakfast before your next match or training session? A balanced mix of protein, performance carbs and healthy fats can help set you up for the day.

And don’t forget hydration - essential for reaction time, concentration, and reducing cramp risk during long spells in the field.

Small, consistent improvements in hydration, protein intake, recovery snacks and overall balance can transform how your body performs and heals.

Let’s discover the power of nutrition, and use it to keep you strong, resilient and ready for the next innings 💪
