Staff Spotlight: Lisa, Our Director
Meet Lisa, the dynamic and inspiring director of Hair Growth Studio.
With her passion for transforming lives through hair restoration, Lisa leads our team with a vision rooted in empathy and innovation. Her journey in the hair industry began when she was just 16, and her dedication has only grown stronger over the years.
As a director, Lisa is responsible for steering the studio towards new heights, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the hair replacement industry.
Her commitment to excellence and her ability to nurture and inspire a team of skilled professionals make her an invaluable asset to our organization.
Let's learn more about Lisa through her responses to our staff spotlight questions.
1. Where did you grow up, and what brought you to your current city?
Lisa grew up in the Rochdale borough and now resides in Bolton. The move to Bolton was initially a reluctant one, sparked by her youngest daughter's acceptance into Bolton School. Over time, however, Lisa has come to love the area for its abundant rural dog walking spots and natural beauty.
2. Describe your ideal weekend.
Lisa's ideal weekend involves being out on her bike. She joined a cycling group for the social benefits after moving to Bolton, and cycling has since become a significant passion. She often enjoys rides with friends, relishing the combination of exercise and camaraderie.
3. What is your favourite food or cuisine?
Lisa appreciates the comfort and warmth of home-cooked traditional meals.
4. What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
Outside of work, Lisa volunteers for British Cycling as a ride leader. She enjoys guiding groups of cyclists, from beginners to more advanced riders, on various adventures.
5. What is your favourite hobby, activity, or creative outlet?
Cycling is a clear favourite for Lisa. She also cherishes long walks with her French Bulldog, Stanley, who frequently visits the studio. Spending time with her two daughters and family , as well as friends, is another source of joy for her.
6. Where would you most like to travel to and why?
Lisa has travelled all over the world with her family, friends and bike! Lisa dreams of returning to Thailand, a place she visited for the first time in 2023. She fell in love with the scenery, culture, and people, making it a destination she is eager to explore again.
7. Do you have a personal aspiration you’re working toward?
Lisa is continually setting cycling-related challenges for herself. Last year, she completed the London 100, and this year, she is training for the Scotland Etape Caledonia, an 85-mile mountainous ride.
8. What is the best piece of advice someone has given you?
A piece of wisdom that resonates with Lisa is: "Before speak , ask yourself, is it kind, is it true, and is it necessary?"
9. What drew you to this field, and how did you get started?
Lisa's career in the hair industry began at 16. She later discovered a job opportunity that involved making a significant difference in people's lives, which she found incredibly fulfilling. She eventually took over the studio and has never looked back.
10. What other types of jobs/industries have you worked in?
Lisa has always remained within the hair industry, starting as an apprentice at 16 and growing her expertise ever since.
11. What is your favourite part about your job and why?
The most rewarding aspect of Lisa's job is witnessing client transformations and the positive impact these have. She's proud to lead a dedicated and skilled team that contributes to these life-changing experiences.
12. Which of your professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Lisa takes immense pride in her team and the respect she has garnered in the hair replacement industry worldwide. Being a trailblazer in this field is a testament to her hard work and vision.
13. What aspect of the organization makes you proud to work here?
The organization's reputation, customer loyalty, and the incredible team she has built fill Lisa with pride.
14. What do you enjoy most about working with your colleagues?
Lisa treasures the vibrant and supportive work environment at the studio. The team shares plenty of fun and banter, truly functioning as a work family through various life chapters.
15. What is your favourite memory from working here?
It's challenging for Lisa to pinpoint just one memory, as each day brings unique stories and the satisfaction of making a difference in clients' lives. Every client's journey is special in its own way.
