🎗️International Childhood Cancer Day 2026 🎗️

It has been a tough week on Alfie’s cancer journey with surgery to have his Hickman line inserted for him starting 9 months of chemo to finally rid him of this awful disease. We have watched him suffer in pain, show raw emotion, realise this is not over yet and question why him? 💔

Every year, hundreds of thousands of children are diagnosed with cancer. Behind every statistic is a child with dreams, a family holding on to hope, and a community that can make a difference.

Never in a million years would we have imagined that we would be the ones going through this with our 15 year old son. We know the stress. We know the emotional strain. We know the financial worries And we know how much love and support matters during the hardest days.

Today we:
🧡 Honour the bravery of those still fighting
🧡 Stand beside families navigating treatment
🧡 Commit to raising awareness and vital funds

No child should face cancer alone.

Alfie at his happiest with a golf club in his hand, yes it’s crazy golf but he still loved it, was at the driving range last weekend and can’t wait to get back out playing golf! 🏌🏼‍♂️⛳️💙🩶🎗️

It’s an absolute sin - cancer is s****

Why me, why me, why me, my body hates me and lots of tears this has been Alfie in hospital today having surgery to put in a Hickman line, for his forthcoming chemo, which is to be over 9 months and today he had a fertility biopsy, at 15 years old.
My baby is in so much pain and today he cried in pain, he cried in frustration and you know we cried with him because why is he having to suffer all this at 15 year old.
I hate you cancer and I would in a minute take all this from him as it’s very hard watching your baby boy going through this awful journey.
We are struggling today for the first time since our lives were changed for ever and it hurts, it really hurts 💙🩶🎗️

World Cancer Day 🎗️💙🩶
4th February 2026

Today, we reflect on how much our lives have changed since the end of October 2025 and how no one should take for granted that Cancer will never affect you or the ones closest to you. Never say it won’t come to your door.

Today we celebrate Alfie and his current fight with medulloblastoma brain cancer. Alfie at 15 years old was just about to take his prelims when his life was turned upside down, on having two major brain surgeries and recently finishing 6 weeks of PBT specialist radiation treatment and very soon to start chemo to rid him of this awful disease.

Today we want to celebrate his strength, his positivity, his courage, and the incredible resilience of a much loved teenager who has faced and is facing more than our boy ever should. He has very much kept Ross & I going as I dread to think how we would be, without Alfie being so strong and positive and pulling us through this awful journey.

We also celebrate all cancer warriors — the patients, the fighters, the survivors — whose bravery shows up every single day, even when the world doesn’t see the battles with finances, jobs, family and day to day living, being fought behind closed doors.

Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient. It changes families forever (our world ended on Monday 27th October), It rewrites priorities, reshapes hearts, and leaves marks that never fully fade.

On World Cancer Day
We honour our Alfie
We honour his courage.
We honour his strength and positivity.
We are so proud of you and we are so proud to be your Mum & Dad xx💙🧑‍🧑‍🧒

Hello everyone! That’s my last treatment done at the Christie hospital and the bell rung to mark the end of this part of my treatment. it’s been a tough journey so far and one that I won’t rush to do again but we are all so grateful to have been able to get the treatment in Manchester and all the support we have gotten during this time. I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone for liking posts, sharing the page, donating to our gofundme and much more.
We hope you follow us through my chemo treatment in Edinburgh, aswell and we’ll see you again in 6 weeks.
Forever grateful, Alfie x 💙 🩶
As Alfie’s parents we could not be prouder of how he is handling all these difficult but necessary adult cancer treatments. So far on this journey Alfie has touched so many and our hearts are bursting on how many people now love and care for him. We have been well supported and cared for here in Manchester and have made life long friends and new family (you know who you are) which we will be forever grateful too for making our 6 weeks away from home much more pleasant and bearable🥰
Love you boy and always will, we will be with you every step of the way to cancer freedom xx💙💕🧑‍🧑‍🧒

Today it was Mum's turn, as Alfie received another invite to watch Manchester City from a platinum hospitality box at the Eithad.
What a great game to be at (FA Cup) with a 10-1 score line for Man city and it was lovely that Exeter got a consilation goal 💙⚽
Food and company was fantastic and the only disappointment for me was Pep being in the stand because of a pitchside ban! So no photo of him to have on my phone 😔😃♥️
Thank you from us both to the Barrie Wells Trust - Box4Kids for the second experience whilst Alfie goes through Cancer treatment in Manchester x🙏💙🎗️

We want to wish everyone a happy new year when it comes! 🎉🍾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎇🎆
We will be glad to see the end of 2025 as it has ended in a very sour note for us a family but we look onwards and upwards to 2026 where I hope by the middle of the year to actually be in remission from Cancer.
We hope all our supporters and followers continue to keep me in their thoughts and look out for my Mum & Dad whose life’s have changed forever in 2025.
We will celebrate in our own way tonight as should have been at friends in Manchester for a Hogmany party but I thought it would be too overwhelming for me, as I am still getting over the flu and as you can see the side effects of the treatment I am receiving is beginning to take hold along with tiredness but we are going to dinner at our friends house tomorrow.
Enjoy your night however and whoever you are celebrating with and wishing you all a happy & healthy 2026 💙🩶🎗️

Edit...
Just to top off the festivities I am currently with Alfie at the triage dept of the Manchester sick kids hospital as he started with a cold late yesterday and this afternoon his temp hit 38.5 so contacted the hospital and a taxi was sent for me & him, Ross is also suffering with this cold bug and left him in bed with paracetomol and fluids.
Everything is so much worse now when Alfie falls ill or if his temperature goes up but glad to say he has been checked over and his chest is clear and temp is coming down just waiting for a cannula to be fitted for bloods but this is something Alfie hates having done as he has terrible deep set veins 😞 looking to be discharged tonight much to Alfie's relieve
Christmas Day was very emotional and hard, yesterday and yes, I did break down😢😔especially on watching Alfie open a santa sack full of presents from Ross's colleagues at Proscot, it was so thoughtful of them and cheered Alfie up, so much. I will get Alfie to post a photo in the next couple of days with his presents ♥️💙🎁
We are very lucky to have friends here in Manchester that had us over for Christmas dinner and through their understanding of the awful and strange situation we find ourselves in, gave us a lovely Christmas Day that we will always be grateful for, as I dont want to think how bad yesterday would have been without them xx
Love Team Alfie xx💙🩶🎗️

Merry Christmas everyone! It’s Christmas Eve and it has been a very special day for the Good family as we took a trip tonight to Seoul & Tokyo Hotpot and Sushi in Manchester where we enjoyed a lovely meal (See photos below)
I would just like to thank everybody for their donations as it meant I got to enjoy an experience like this while down in Manchester where I was able to have great food and a good time with my parents!
Experiences like this have been a great mood lifter on hard days after PBT where I would be upset or angry with the situation I am in.
Thank you again for all the support and I wish everyone a joyful day tomorrow!
Alfie xx 💙🩶🎗️
