Embracing Change: Healing Ourselves and the World in a Time of Transformation
What’s Happening in the World?
When we look at the world right now, what do we see? Wars, turmoil, unrest, and uncertainty. If we bring our focus closer, to our lives and those around us, we might notice many feeling anxious, worried, uncertain or going through significant changes. Personally, when I’m out, I don’t see too many people looking truly happy.
Why is this happening?
You may wonder why things seem so negative. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I believe we are experiencing a mass detoxification, a huge purge, because we’re moving towards what some call the Golden Age, or 5D consciousness. This is a time of unity, where we function more from love and kindness, and less from a place of survival. We move away from separation and into Oneness, expanding into a state where lower emotions, like hate, simply can’t exist. Imagine a world without hate…
If this were true...
It may sound a bit "airy-fairy," but imagine if it were true. All negativity would need to be healed and cleared. That means negativity within us, in the earth, and in the environment must be released.
Cleansing
On an individual level, what does healing look like? We all carry negativity, trauma, and past pain that’s stagnant within us. We all have something that triggers us into a negative reaction. And we also all have negativity and unprocessed pain that is unconscious and we are simply not aware of yet. For that to clear and be healed it has to come up and be felt! Yuk. Who wants to feel their pain? Not many people I am sure. But that’s often how healing occurs – lower emotions arise to be felt and acknowledged then they can be let go of. Resisting and suppressing them doesn’t heal them, it just pushes them back under the surface to arise another day.
What to do with emotions?
Life knows what you need to heal, and it will bring situations that trigger these emotions. So what to do with them? Here’s one way, there are many:
1. Recognise that this is arising for your highest good (this doesn’t mean you have to like feeling angry or sad or whatever).
2. Allow it to be there – what you resist persists, so just allow the negative feeling to be there and try not to judge it as good or bad, try and be neutral towards the feeling and know it will pass. (Step 1 and 2 are often enough, but you could always try step 3 if you are feeling brave)
3. Try and locate the feeling in your body, imagine what it looks like, give it a colour and go and sit with it, sit in it! Then ask the emotion to get bigger and bigger and try and feel it to its fullest. Try not to think about the reasons that bring up the emotion (because you are going into thinking) just actually feel the feeling and ask it to get as big as it can. What you should find is that it will get bigger but it probably wont last more than 90 seconds then it will clear and you wont be able to find it. The reason that you can’t find is that you just brought your light to it and helped it heal.
There are other ways to help clear emotions, but they all involve acknowledging them and not fighting against them. The following two rhymes may help:
“What you are feeling you are healing.”
“What you resist, persists.”
The World Situation
For the world to be in the new age we need to go through a cleansing process because we can’t take all this dense and heavy baggage that we carry, we have to be more clear of lower vibrational energies. The world itself has many areas of density – if you think about the conflict around Israel and Palestine for example, the negative energy in that area has existed for at least 2000 years. That density can’t exist in the new age. What we are seeing is a cleansing on all levels.
Systems that keep us in lower states
As we move into this new age there are many systems in the world that keep us feeling separate, that keep us taking sides, that keep power and wealth in the hands of a few, that are unfit for purpose and that simply don’t work anymore, and we will see them start to crumble. Examples might be the financial system, political systems, banking systems, educational systems, health systems, the media and more. I am sure we can already see that some of these systems are not in the highest good of all and are not working for the wellbeing of all?
Deconstruction
The process of deconstruction can be difficult. We all cling to the familiar, even if the familiar isn’t good we often cling to it. The mind likes reference points and to know whats happening and how everything is going to unfold. When things change it can be uncomfortable to say the least.
When you have some kind of renovation done at home who really likes the bit when the workmen are in the house, they are making a mess, taking cupboards out or knocking walls down etc? That part is usually unpleasant, but when your extension is built and you have a bigger house with more space etc then you are happy right? We are in the deconstruction phase right now, but the bigger house might not be that far away. And the bigger house is really a better, more loving and fairer world for everyone, where we are all abundant, where we are not functioning from survival anymore, where we are more connected to and functioning from our own talents and abilities, and where everyone is much happier…..
There’s much more I could write but I don’t want to make this blog too long!
