Today marks one year since we said goodbye to our dear Alice 💛

Alice will always hold a special place in Aura’s heart as our very first client. Even now, we still find ourselves sharing her stories, remembering her strength, her warmth, and the incredible life she lived.

At 96, Alice had experienced so much, from her proud dedication to the Salvation Army to living through the Second World War. She carried her history with quiet resilience and a spirit that inspired everyone around her.

But more than anything, Alice was family. She became a grandmother to us all, and it was an honour to support her, to laugh with her, and to simply be part of her world.

A year has passed, but she is never far from our thoughts. Her legacy lives on in the care we give and the compassion we continue to share every day.

Forever remembered, always missed.

Today we celebrate the love, support and strength that mothers bring to families and the people around them.

It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
Today I was sent off with biscuits and a sweet for the road. Something she does so often, and it never goes unnoticed. Such a simple act of kindness, but it means so much.
When we look after them, they really do look after us too. 💛

Shoutout to our amazing team! ❄️💪

Today, despite snow, ice, and unsafe driving conditions, our staff showed incredible resilience. Even when feeling nervous about the roads, they put our clients’ needs first, ensuring everyone we support was safe and cared for.

What makes me even prouder is how they did it, not just as workers, but as a team that treats everyone like family, not numbers. Your dedication, courage, and compassion truly make a difference every day.
