I was Ordained in January 2019 with a view to providing tailor made funeral services for loved ones in the Nottinghamshire and surround areas of the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.

I decided to become a celebrant because I wanted to offer a choice to people, people who live life without God and who still want to celebrate those important events in life with a meaningful, respectful but above all else, a deeply personal ceremony.

Anyone who has lost someone they love will know what an emotional and traumatic time it can be.

By visiting and talking to bereaved families I try to help them make some sense out of the grief and confusion that surrounds a death. Also, by providing a personal ceremony tailored to their needs, I will strive to ease the pain and loss just a little.

How we deal with death is as unique as the way in which we deal with life but each of us in our own way will find a way to cope, a road to recovery.

Part of my role is to help people find that road. Although not currently holding a qualification as a grief or bereavement counsellor, I have experience of working in that field dating back over 30 years
