The activity trolley has been our mobile sangria bar today. Residents had a glass or two of the refreshing sangria with plenty of fresh fruit. Some of the residents said it reminded them of when they had been on holiday in spain and shared their fond memories with us all.

Yesterday was the start of our travel to Spain day. Our residents on the Meadows watched YouTube videos of the beautiful towns and cities in Spain and listened to Spanish music whilst on the ground floor they enjoyed watching Benidorm and doing spanish word searches and word sheets independently. The residents were talking about their holidays away with many of our residents saying that they've travelled to Spain and sharing their fond memories.

All of our residents have been watching Leanne and Chloe decorating up for the week with a little help here and there from a couple of the residents.

When Peggy asked for a song, she sang a few words of it and before we knew it Claire had worked out which song it is and surprised Peggy with it. Most of us had tears in our eyes listening to them sing this beautiful song and seeing Peggy so touched by it.

Happy 95th birthday to the wonderful Peggy. Peggy has spent the day celebrating St George's day and her birthday as we were told that Peggy decorated her home every year for St George's day.

This afternoon we held a party with entertainment by the fantastic Claire from Razzle Dazzle for her family, close friends and her new friends she has made in the home.

There's been some very special memories made to treasure forever. We hope Peggy has loved every moment of her big day.
