ANNOUNCEMENT ❄️ Snow Day Option (if required) ☃️

All clients booked for in person sessions tomorrow have been emailed with the option to switch to online (this may have landed in the junk folder and is why I’m also putting this here)

⛄️ Due to the forecast for heavy snow overnight, if you have an in-person session with me tomorrow or over the weekend and feel the road conditions are unsafe or uncomfortable for you, please let me know and I will send you a Zoom link ahead of your session.

All booked sessions will remain at same date and time, it would simply be a remote session rather than in person.

Any clients wishing to stick with their in person session are absolutely welcome to do so. 😊

🕰️ 45 minutes. It took 45 minutes.
And we’re not even counting:

🫣The 15 minutes deciding IF they should send it
😬Checking it was actually sent (twice)
🫩The post-send anxiety spiral wondering if ‘Thanks!’ was too enthusiastic

Rewriting emails 6 times to find the ‘right tone’ isn’t attention to detail…it’s actually your nervous system in overdrive trying to prevent a catastrophe that doesn’t exist. 💥

You’re not ‘bad at emails.’ Your brain is just working overtime to mask, prove your competence, and avoid any possible rejection.😔

It’s absolutely exhausting. And you’re not alone in this. ❤️‍🩹

When people tell you “it doesn’t have to be perfect,” here’s what they’re missing:

They don’t understand that for you, it’s not about wanting everything to be flawless. It’s about the overwhelming anxiety that shows up when things feel messy or incomplete. It’s the way your brain convinces you that anything less than perfect equals failure.

And honestly? That’s exhausting. 🫩

Perfectionism isn’t about being difficult or picky. It’s a protective mechanism that’s often rooted in neurodivergence, past criticism, or the need to feel safe and in control. Your brain has learned that “perfect” means you won’t be judged, rejected, or let anyone down.

But here’s the truth: You deserve to exist without constantly proving your worth through achievement. You deserve rest. You deserve to create, work, and live without the weight of impossible standards.

Learning to untangle perfectionism takes time, self-compassion, and the right support. And you’re absolutely capable of getting there.

This isn’t the Friday I had planned for.

I planned a lovely day of clients and some quality admin time in the office. Last night, I’d made myself a packed lunch and put snacks with it and was feeling rather smug about how organised and “on it” I was…
So waking in the night feeling really poorly wasn’t on my plan, neither was clearing my entire diary when I realised after eating breakfast that I hadn’t dodged whatever lurgey it is after all.

Thank you to all my fantastic clients who have each happily rescheduled. I’ll be snuggling with the dog for the rest of today and I’ll still find at least 10 good things at the end of the day. 😊
