This isn’t the Friday I had planned for.

I planned a lovely day of clients and some quality admin time in the office. Last night, I’d made myself a packed lunch and put snacks with it and was feeling rather smug about how organised and “on it” I was…
So waking in the night feeling really poorly wasn’t on my plan, neither was clearing my entire diary when I realised after eating breakfast that I hadn’t dodged whatever lurgey it is after all.

Thank you to all my fantastic clients who have each happily rescheduled. I’ll be snuggling with the dog for the rest of today and I’ll still find at least 10 good things at the end of the day. 😊

Anxiety: worry and stress related to events that have not yet occurred.

Our brains are PREDICTION machines: Sometimes it’s based on events from the past “if that happened that time, then maybe I could happen again!” and sometimes it’s the fear of the unknown. The “what if?”s and “but THAT might happen”.

But just because something happened in the past, it does NOT mean it will happen again. However we often find ourselves using our wonderful imaginations to rehearse future events going wrong.

What if we all played with imagining things going well a bit more often? When you begin to do this, what difference does that make for you? 😉

✨ Just because you’re doing something… doesn’t mean it’s the right something. ✨

After 5 years on Duolingo, I quit.
Not because I stopped loving my dream of going to Norway, but because I realised the habit wasn’t actually getting me any closer to it.

Sometimes we’re so busy “doing the thing” that we don’t stop to ask:

Is this really helping?

If you’ve been stuck in the loop of "busy-but-not-progressing" with your wellbeing, confidence, relationships, or goals, it might be time to reassess.

It’s not failure. It’s wisdom.
