Being Present ❤️
In Myofascial Release you have to be present…By being in the right brain, the intuitive side…this is where the magic happens.
It’s not easy to be present, we have the left logical side chattering away keeping a constant dialogue going and keeping you out of your intuitive side of your mind. In everyday life we need a good balance of both sides, but we need to develop our right side more to live intuitively.
Last year was a sad and stressful time (until the birth of our beautiful Granddaughter ❤️) earlier that year our dog died after an accident and then we lost my lovely gentle 100 year old Dad.
I struggled even at work, with thoughts of loss and feelings so painful it was hard to concentrate.
Until I reminded myself to be present, those moments gave me a reprieve from my mind thinking about all the ‘what ifs’ and ‘why’s’…
Let’s try that now…. How are you feeling?
Be aware of your feet, what are you standing on? What do your clothes feel like against your skin? Look at your hands, all those tiny details, marks, lines, hairs and imperfections…what are you touching? What does it feel like? What is the temperature like? What can you hear inside and outside the room? Really look at everything around you…take in the colours and textures..
Being present changes your whole perspective and this is where healing can take place ❤️
This is why I started my art class, apart from all the lovely welcoming people in my class. Art makes you more aware of your surroundings, the shapes of the clouds, the colours of the leaves, the tree bark, how the light can make rain on the most boring wall can make it look incredible and beautiful.
Art has helped me be more present and has relieved the sadness, deepened my awareness during treatments and appreciate the world on a whole new level.
Art included just to show off 😂💕
