Shona is one of our new inductees at Home Instead, Mansfield and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in our interactive activity, experiencing how the body changes as we age....

Shona’s fingertip sensitivity is changed using gloves with spongey cotton finger tips and wooden splints to imitate living with stiff joints and arthritis, her eye sight is limited with Diabetic Retinopathy Glasses and she is asked to write a shopping list to help her understand the challenges that some people face with an aging body.

Don’t worry, she did a great job and was rewarded with one of those yummy cherry bakewells for being a good sport!!
