Something i'm asked every day : How do the doves know there way home. The answer is no body knows but it is thought that they
navigate back home using a combination of factors including visual landmarks like rivers and buildings, the Earth's magnetic field which they can sense through their inner ear, the position of the sun, and potentially even smells from their home area, allowing them to create a mental map of their surroundings and find their way back even from unfamiliar locations; however, the exact mechanism is still being researched and debated by scientists.
