If you are looking for a movement based practice in an ambient cocoon, heated to 37 degrees, and with amazing instructors, check out

If you have never tried vinyasa yoga before then Foundation Flow is the perfect entry level class, you can join me:

Tuesdays 12.30

This class follows the same structure as a signature Hotpod Flow with a little more explanation. Still in 37 degree heat, you will be moving and flowing in a dynamic style, but come across fewer Vinyasas and some modifications to make the practice more effortless.

Perfect for students who are newer to the Vinyasa practice or for anyone looking to enjoy the movement of a flow class, but at a slightly different pace.

Nurture Flow classes
Tuesdays 12.30
Saturdays 11.00

Nurturing Flow is a deeper, slower, restorative class. A calmer tempo and strong focus on passive and meditative postures, combined with the signature Hotpod heat of 37 degrees, will melt you further into your practice, leaving your body gently worked and your mind relaxed and calm. Ideal for beginners, anyone suffering from injuries or just looking to nurture their bodies!

If you have never attended a class at Hotpod before, you can get your first one free!

I love backbends/ heart openers, those spacious moments of spinal extension, for how they remind us to embody both vulnerability and strength at the same time. When we open ourselves fully to life, we allow transformation to flow through love, peace, and acceptance.

The three lower chakras, below the heart, relate to the “little self” our individual growth and personal development. This stage is essential, valuable, and beautiful. Yet, the energy of the heart center vibrates at a far higher frequency than the energy of the lower chakras alone.

The great shift occurs as we rise from the center of our personal power- Manipura, the solar plexus, or “jewelled city” towards the heart, where we begin to access a deeper, truer power: the power of union and connection with life itself.

In the heart, this connection, this yoga expresses itself as love, often marking the first moment we place the joy and well-being of another above our own.

The tattva of the manipüra chakra is fire, an element closely related to shakti and the awakening of kundalini.

In the physical body, the manipura is said to be the center of the “digestive fire” which reduces food to ash and extracts vital energy.

Also called the chakra of the sun, the manipüra is related to the solar plexus. ☀️

NYLA YOGA

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga in a union of body, mind and self care, it can help to improve balance, stability, flexibility, concentration , spatial awareness and strength. Yoga is also a wonderful way to increase children's co-ordination, self-awareness, confidence and self esteem while they stretch and strengthen their bodies in a safe, nurturing and non-competitive environment.

Other than yoga there are no other forms of exercise that offers such a wide range of movements. While practising children’s yoga we bend forward and back, we twist and side bend, strengthen and stretch, balance and can even spend some time upside down! Unlike adult yoga children are not isolated to their own mats we use partner, group poses, cooperative games, self-expression and creativity to develop communication, teamwork, social skills and confidence…………. It is always more fun to do yoga together!

Zoe has trained with world renowned Yoga Alliance accredited Rainbow Kids Yoga and Yogamoves4kids which is certified by The Independent Yoga Network. Zoe is able to deliver yoga & mindfulness classes to pre-school age children, primary schools, tweens, teens, clubs, festivals, families and can also offer yoga birthday parties! Zoe is currently studying a Diploma in Hatha Yoga for adults and “Teen Yoga” with Charlotta Martinus. In spring 2020 Zoe will be undertaking training in “Special Yoga” enabling her to work more therapeutically with SEND children. Whilst Zoe has a passion for all things yoga she is also a qualified personal trainer specialising in children's health related fitness and well-being. Zoe has also worked for many years supporting and safeguarding children and young people in East Kent for KCC and independent organisations.

Nyla Yoga classes supports children in developing a healthy set of tools to better regulate their emotions and manage stress. We use various breathing techniques, yoga asana, guided meditations, mudras, imagery, positive affirmation mantras etc which are delivered age appropriately. We incorporate fun and creative, songs, props, games, music, stories, dance and drama allowing children to freely express themselves and improve mind- body connections.
