Today we were in Bourne working with Bourne United Charities who are responsible for the upkeep of a number of historic buildings in the town such as the Red Hall and also the parks and open spaces.

The Red Hall is now the offices for BUC and hired out for functions and weddings, but was originally built as a family home in about 1600 and is steeped in history.

We always enjoy a wander around the gorgeous parks in Bourne, especially the peaceful Wellhead open space which was once the site of a motte and bailey castle 🏰

We travel far and wide to support our wonderful and diverse clients. This week one of our consultants visited a wonderful World Horse Welfare farm to provide ongoing advice and support. The views are just amazing! They work tirelessly on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming equines! This weeks visit included reviewing and updating fire risk assessments, reviewing PPE compliance and enjoying a wonderful slice of homemade cake!

They say every day is a school day, well today Raeanne had a history lesson, visiting two former RAF bases which both have museums.

RAF Witchford which is now an industrial park, was an RAF Bomber Command station that was built in 1942 and home to the Avro Lancaster heavy bombers.
The industrial park is home to RAF Witchford Collection of Memorabilia. There’s a display of photographs and records of the former World War 2 airfield and its near neighbour RAF Mepal.

RAF Waterbeach is a former Royal Air Force station. The site was transferred to the Royal Engineers, part of the British Army, in 1966, as Waterbeach Barracks.
Urban&Civic PLC now own the site and will be developing it in stages over the next 20 years.
Waterbeach Military Heritage Museum is dedicated to preserving Waterbeach’s military heritage, and displays a fascinating collection of objects, photographs, and memorabilia.

Great to see that Peterborough Beer Festival was a great success last week.
We were there at the trade session on Tuesday to sample the barrel that we sponsored, and Raeanne was there all week as Publicity officer and volunteering on the gin bar.

We've had a lovely morning out in Ely and are very pleased to be assisting with the Mad Hatters Eco-festival due to take place in June.

The Eco-Festival features live bands, building a giant bug hotel, delicious vegan food cooking demonstrations, a kids’ disco, outdoor cinema, a storyteller, magician, a Mad Hatter’s tea party of course, and beware of your valuables… a pickpocket! (But don’t worry, he gives his ill gotten gains back.)

The Eco-Festival offers environmentally friendly entertainments for all the family, with a range of eco-alternatives for every lifestyle.

They're also raising money for all the charities attending the festival, along with the Addenbrooke’s Hospital Trust, in recognition of the work of the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

Music, dancing and environmentally friendly fun for all the family in the Cambridgeshire countryside

6 years today we moved to our 'new' premises with a handful of clients and a lot of hope! Today we have over 100 clients many of whom have been with us from the start and some from previous existence! Thanks to you all we are where we are today. Thank you all.
