We had a wonderfully creative day yesterday celebrating World Art Day here at Aria Court🎨✨

In the morning, we enjoyed some relaxing aqua painting, watching the colours come to life with just a touch of water 💧🖌️ It was so calming and enjoyable, the residents were deciding which one was their favourite.

In the afternoon, we headed into the café for a lovely sip & paint experience ☕🍰 Residents carefully sketched and painted a beautiful fruit bowl 🍎🍌🍇, taking their time and showing off their artistic talents.

A fantastic day full of creativity, smiles, and a splash of colour! 😊🌈

🎯✨ What a fantastic day we had yesterday! ✨🎯

The wonderful Veteran Club joined us in the morning to try out our brand new curling game – something we’ve been proudly fundraising for 🥌💙 It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved, and even better knowing the game is fully accessible for our residents who use wheelchairs too! 👏

The fun didn’t stop there… our veterans enjoyed lunch with us and decided to stay on for the afternoon entertainment 🎤🎶 And we’re so glad they did!

We were treated to a live performance from Pops, and the atmosphere was just amazing. There was singing, dancing, toe-tapping and plenty of smiles all around 💃🕺😊

A truly lovely day filled with laughter, music and togetherness – days like these are what it’s all about ❤️

National Gardening Day Yesterday! 🏡🪴

We were delighted to have a visit today from members of Aria Court Care Home who came to donate to our Plant Swap.
We are going to be forming links this summer between their 'Happy Potters' gardening club and our new Cavalry gardening club. As well as developing intergenerational friendships, we hope that we will be able to learn from their experience of growing fruit and vegetables and support each other in our quest for home-grown food and green-fingered fun!

This morning we were delighted to visit Fenland Camping & Caravan Park, to meet Kathleen & make our first donation of yarn squares, which will be joined together at their craft club and turned into beautiful blankets ❤️

These blankets will be gifted to people living with dementia, as well as to patients undergoing chemotherapy at Hinchingbrooke Hospital 🦋

A special thank you to our lovely and talented housekeeper, Paula, for her wonderful contribution 🫶🏼

If you’d prefer to join in person, Kathleen runs a craft club every Thursday from 7:00–8:45pm, and we host our own Stitch & Socialise every Friday from 10:00am–12:00pm😊

Yesterday here at Aria, we celebrated National Pet Day in the best way 🐾

We were so excited to host our very first Pet Parade, and it was wonderful to see so many amazing companions join us! We were joined by a cat, bunny, snake, and lots of lovely dogs—including Gandy, our interactive dog.

There was plenty of laughter and light-hearted fun as we voted for our favourites—though it was incredibly difficult to choose just one each!

And now… the results (drum roll please 🥁):

🥇 1st place: Honey – Lovely Lady Chorgi
🥈 2nd place: Phoebe – adorable mini Dachshund 🐶
🥉 3rd place: Mario – the Corn Snake 🐍

A huge thank you to all the pets and their owners for joining us. You made this event truly special, and we absolutely loved having you with us ❤️

🌱✨WHAT THE HAPPY POTTERS HAVE BEEN UP TO ✨🌱

Firstly, we have had a new club member Ray, who has been a massive help this week! It has been a busy and productive time with our Happy Potters, who have been getting their hands dirty planting a wonderful variety of vegetables and fruits 🥔🥕🍓 From potatoes, carrots, and beetroot to strawberry plants, cabbages, cauliflower, and onions — our garden is already full of promise! 🌿🌼

Marion has also been busy exploring our new gardening box with everyone 🌼 They enjoyed taking part in a fun quiz, looking at pictures, and looking at different gardening items like gloves 🧤🌻

It’s been lovely to see everyone getting involved, sharing knowledge, and enjoying time together outdoors 💚🌞

Last Wednesday at Aria Court was one of those mornings that just felt right 💛

We started the day with a lovely community breakfast, bringing everyone together before getting stuck into painting the car park fence 🎨🖌️ It was so nice to see people come along and get involved – the support really meant a lot to us 😊

A huge thank you to Kelly the Tesco Champion for taking the time to support us even while being so busy with the car boot 🚗💐, to Jackie from Goodwins who came along with her son and his girlfriend💕 & to Josh who came on his day off from FACET to kindly spend the whole morning with us – your hard work did not go unnoticed 🙌

We would also like to thank our management team, Sreeja and Sowmiya, for taking the time out of their busy schedules to come and help with the painting – it really made a difference 👏

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Marion, our wonderful gardener, for helping to organise this project and bring everything together 🌷

We finished the day the best way possible, with a delicious lunch in the cafe prepared by our amazing chefs, with help from our wonderful kitchen assistants 🍽️👏

🌼🐣 Easter fun at Aria Court! 🐣🌼

Today, a couple of our happy potters can’t to the Tesco Easter car boot sale to kindly help watch over our stall, where we were proudly selling some beautiful homemade hanging baskets 🌸🪴

A big thank you to Marion for being up bright and early to get everything set up — your dedication never goes unnoticed! 💛 And a special shoutout to Kelly, the Tesco champion, for making space for us and supporting our day 👏

Norman and Margaret had a wonderful time catching up with the Veterans 🇬🇧✨ They even took part in the raffle… and both came away as winners! 🎉🎟️

A fantastic morning all around, filled with community spirit and smiles😊

🐣🎂 Across all of Athena Care Homes, the Easter spirit has been in full swing with our exciting Easter Cake Competition! 🌸✨

Here at Aria Court, our wonderful Head Chef Lisa did an amazing job creating a beautiful cake, with the help of some of our lovely residents who enjoyed getting involved with the decorating 🎨🧁 Their creativity and teamwork truly made it something special!

It’s been such a joyful activity bringing everyone together, filled with smiles, laughter, and of course… lots of cake! 🍰💛
