As some of you may already know, I’m taking part in a 26-mile charity hike this August in support of Alzheimer’s Society 💙
But did you know that massage and aromatherapy may also help ease some symptoms of dementia?
According to Alzheimer’s Society, there is some evidence that these therapies can help with things like relaxation, anxiety, agitation, and low mood. While more research is needed, many people living with dementia can find comfort and calm through gentle touch and sensory treatments.
I’ve linked their article below if you’d like to have a read: Aromatherapy, massage and dementia | Alzheimer’s Society
