We are delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Registered Dental Nurse or a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and dedicated team at our newly relocated dental practice in Cottenham.

Our modern, purpose-built facility features:

Three state-of-the-art dental surgeries
A CBCT room
A dedicated decontamination room
Brand-new equipment throughout
About Us

We are a growing, multi-disciplinary team comprising:

Six experienced dentists with special interests in Implantology, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Periodontology
A Dental Therapist
A Dental Hygienist
We proudly serve a loyal patient base from Cottenham, Ely, Cambridge, Waterbeach, Haddenham, Willingham, and the surrounding villages.

The Role

Based at our Cottenham practice
Includes chairside assistance and reception duties (optional)
Full or part-time (minimum 4 days/week)
Saturday mornings on a rotational basis (by arrangement)
What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

Ambitious, committed, and a team player
Passionate about providing excellent patient care
Requirements (for Registered Dental Nurse)

Dental Nurse Qualification
GDC Registration
Valid Indemnity Insurance
Up-to-date CPD portfolio
Experience using Software of Excellence is a bonus but not essential
Trainee Dental Nurses Welcome

Full training and support provided
The Practice will help you to enrolled on a recognized dental nursing course
Additional Information

Proof of Hepatitis B immunisation and a valid DBS check are required, the Practice will support you with this requirement.
Proof of right to work in the UK will be requested

Notice Road Closure - 28 March 2022 to 1 April 2022

There are road closures outside the Dental Practice due to the resurfacing of the carriageway and Calvary Drive roundabout. Patients will not be able to access the practice carpark from the St Peter's Road direction. For parking close to the practice from St Peters's Road direction turn left on to Green Street off Upwell Road and continue to the T-Junction, turn right on to Badgeney Road then take the first right on to Asplin Ave following towards Smiths Drive. Please find parking in the residential area behind the Dental Practice.

Alternatively a diversion will be in place via the Sixteen Foot Bank leading to Upwell Road and our parking in front of the Practice. Please allow extra time to follow the diversion.

November 2020 COVID-19 Update

There are no restrictions with regards to medical treatment and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments. At our Dental Practices we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.

What next?

Please continue to attend your appointments. We have excellent infection control procedures along with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

If you are worried about your attendance please contact us to discuss your concerns and we can always postpone your treatment till a later date.

We continue to recommend that patients in the high-risk category delay non-essential treatment until further guidance has been given by the relevant authorities.

When you arrive:

We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of the dental professional. If your temperature is above 37.8C, you will be advised to rebook your treatment and to follow government guidelines. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.

As you enter the building you will need to use the alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfectant your hands.

The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. The air exchange units will continue to be used throughout the day in each surgery. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), there is no shortage.

Please do not be concerned as we continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control.

November 2020 COVID-19 Update

In light of the Prime Minister’s announcement that from Thursday 5 November 2020, England will enter a period of further national restrictions until 2 December 2020.

The government's guidance states that “a number of public services will also stay open and you will be able to leave home to visit them. These include the NHS and medical services like GPs”.

Dental services are included and we will remain open during this period.
