Residents eased into the day with exercises set to ABBA — always guaranteed to lift the mood and get everyone smiling. 🎶✨

With King Charles celebrating his 75th birthday today, we marked the occasion with a couple of fun quizzes about the monarchy, along with a picture round of famous faces. 👑📸

This morning saw plenty of energy as residents grooved along to 70s disco hits during their exercises — lots of laughs and a few cheeky dance moves! 🎶💃

Later, some had a relaxed game of floor dominoes, while the walking group soaked up the sunshine on a refreshing afternoon stroll. 🌞🍂

Others joined in a spirited game of table hockey or settled down to enjoy a cosy film. 🎬🧩

Some of our ladies enjoyed a lovely Salon Social this morning — fresh cuts, blow dries, and a good chat over a cuppa, with conversation turning to Armistice Day. 💇‍♀️☕

At 11am, residents gathered for a moving two-minute silence to honour the fallen and loved ones. ❤️

After gentle exercises, the walking group made the most of the crisp autumn air, while others relaxed indoors with hangman on the interactive screen or a fascinating railway programme. 🚂🍂

We also celebrated Garrett’s birthday with chocolate cake and a cheerful sing-along! Happy Birthday, Garret!🎂🎉

The week began with some feel-good ABBA tunes to get everyone moving, the perfect way to brighten up a dark and rainy morning. 🎶☔

Later, residents enjoyed a fruity sensory activity, tasting pineapple, mango, pear, fig, and nardicots.🍍🍐

After lunch, there was plenty of curiosity and conversation as residents explored the night sky, the ocean, and even dinosaurs through the projector, followed by some fun science and general knowledge quizzes. 🌌🦖✨

Residents marked Remembrance Day with a meaningful and reflective morning. ❤️

They watched the special BBC service and joined together for the two minutes’ silence at 11am. Later, there were gentle exercises and a peaceful afternoon walk.

The day began with some gentle morning exercises to get everyone moving. Residents were then presented with handmade poppies created by the activities team, ready for this weekend’s remembrance events. ❤️

residents began their day with some gentle armchair exercises to get moving. 💪✨

They then chatted about the meaning of November 5th and discovered some fun facts — like how people in Ottery St Mary carry barrels of tar on their shoulders, and that there’s even an island in the South Atlantic named after Guy Fawkes! 🎆

Everyone had lots of fun with the interactive screen, creating their own firework displays complete with sound effects — a great sensory activity that brought plenty of smiles and laughter. 💥🎇

After lunch, a few brave residents enjoyed a refreshing walk between rain showers, while the Oaklands Emporium made its rounds with treats and essentials to browse. ☔🍫

It was Salon Social morning at Oaklands! ✂️💅

The ladies enjoyed a pamper, a cuppa, and a good chat — always a lovely confidence boost.

Some residents joined in with morning exercises before lunch, and the walking group later made the most of the crisp autumn air, noticing how many trees have started to lose their leaves. 🍂

Meanwhile, others took a sweet trip down memory lane, chatting about their favourite childhood treats and corner shop visits before watching a short film all about classic sweets — who remembers Spangles? 🍬
