A lovely day of movement, games and laughter here at Oaklands 💜

The morning began with a fitness class, with residents stretching, moving and enjoying the music together.

After lunch, a quiz got minds working, followed by games of tin can alley that brought plenty of laughs and encouragement.💪💜

We started the morning with an art group, colouring our own hats and getting creative together.
After lunch, we enjoyed a relaxing walk outside. This afternoon, plans changed as residents chose to settle in and enjoy a film together, which made for a cosy and enjoyable end to the day.👒🍿💜

Today began with a visit from our hairdresser, helping residents feel refreshed and pampered.💇

With the rain keeping us indoors, the afternoon was spent sharing advice we’d give our younger selves, leading to some lovely conversations.👪💜

We started the morning with stretching and gentle movement to keep active, followed by a calming lavender sensory session. Residents enjoyed feeling and smelling the lavender while filling small bags to keep in their rooms. 💐
After lunch, board games were requested, so we enjoyed playing several games around the home, sharing laughs and spending time together.💜

Happy Friday!

We started the day with our morning exercises and it was lovely to see so many residents getting involved. This was followed by a fun biscuit decorating session, with plenty of creativity!

After lunch, we enjoyed games of snakes and ladders alongside relaxed conversations, spending time simply chatting with residents. We believe taking the time to talk, listen and share familiar moments is so important to give them a sense of comfort and familiarity. 💜

We started the morning with our daily exercise class and enjoyed plenty of one-to-one time throughout the day.
Everyone gathered in the lounge for a picture quiz, which was great to see so many residents getting involved. With the rain keeping us indoors, we stayed cosy with an afternoon movie.
We were also lucky enough to spot a wild muntjac deer outside and celebrated the wonderful Aranta ahead of her birthday on Saturday 🎉🎬💜

Today we welcomed our new Activities Assistant, spending the morning getting to know residents and their favourite activities.

After lunch, residents enjoyed getting out for some fresh air with not one, but two walks!

The afternoon ended with a visit to the Oaklands Emporium, where residents enjoyed browsing and picking up a few bits & bobs.🏪🚶💜

A nice mix of activities at today 💜

Our morning began with a visit from the hairdresser, with residents enjoying trims and blow-dries alongside hot drinks, magazines and plenty of chat.

After lunch, we wrapped up warm and made the most of a bright, sunny afternoon outdoors.

The day finished with relaxed one-to-one time, including conversations, colouring and gentle exercises, spending time with residents around the home.💇‍♀️🚶‍♀️💜

We had a lovely day at Oaklands, starting with our morning exercise class and some friendly games of dominoes. 💜
The chilly weather meant staying indoors, but that gave us the perfect excuse for a relaxing afternoon pamper session, with nail care and a touch of colour for some!🧖‍♀️💅🏼💜

Today we started the day with some exercises, before a game of The Price is Right.
