We have started our first session of the new term at our intergeneration session.

Nursery children weekly visiting the on-site dementia and cogs groups have a massive impact on speech and language, empathy building, communication, confidence, and developing a kind and caring nature. The children and the dementia service users all really enjoy their time together chatting, playing games, singing and dancing, and drawing and colouring.

Hello all!
We have a quiz organised at HTM - Holy Trinity Church, Margate in aid of the disabled riding centre!

It is on Saturday 21st of September and starts at 7pm for a 7:30pm start!

It is £5 pound a head and tables can be up to 6 people!

There is a raffle during the interval plus last and first place prizes!

There is an inexpensive cafe on site selling cakes, biscuits, coffees , tea, soft drinks and crisps etc!

Someone once said when you love someone with Dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they are diagnosed, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they die. This is called "Ambigua Loss."
I wouldn’t wish Dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, it changes physically and eventually forgets who their loved ones are. They can end up lying in bed not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll by this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who battled or is fighting Dementia.
