Our first Manspace meeting at St. Paul’s community centre was on 20th March 2023 and we had about 25 blokes show up. We’re now a community of men providing 2 consistent meetings a week where men can show up as themselves, no expectations, and quickly become attuned to healthy masculine norms and attitudes of honesty, accountability and compassionate responsibility for others.

And we certainly need more examples of that in the world right now!

Been really busy with community work, recently having completed with my pals OverRun Project where we’ve raised over £4000 for Mind. It was worth the pulled shoulder!

This is also a good opportunity to share about Baton Of Hope UK, a campaign that shares su***de awareness across the country that ends in Margate and where I will be carrying the baton for its last leg along with others representing community groups in the area.

Please see our up to date flyer and let people know about the spaces where we meet.

Pay special attention to our Thursday meetings which will no longer be at Radford House due to planned renovations.

From Thursday 20th March our Ramsgate meetings will predominantly be at The Custom House which is just opposite the main Ramsgate harbour car park. There are certain dates listed on the flyer where we will be meeting who have very kindly donated the space.

Meetings are always free, warm (hopefully even more so with spring on the way), welcoming and confidential. So if your a man in need of a supportive space to process whatever is going on in your life or your intrigued to find out what health masculinity looks like, come see us.

“I was inspired to freeze my butt off and get in the sea for 13 days of December for this amazing group that's growing in numbers and supporting the men in our community. The mission statement below details what this local group are about.Mental health and su***de have effected many people in my world and I believe these guys are supporting these men and providing a community where its cool to open up and talk about their real feelings.We would love to show them that we appreciate their commitment and so we have committed to getting into the icy waters of the coast of Thanet to raise some money so they can continue doing this amazing work.”

It’s been an incredible end to the year with 10 new Manspacers walking through the door in the last two weeks! We are always thrilled to welcome new men into our spaces, and we look forward to supporting their journey of growth next year.

In ManSpace we have wives, daughters, sisters and nieces. We care about their experiences of the world and listen to them when they tell us they don’t feel safe. This is what good men do, this is what healthy secure masculinity does.

Men have a key responsibility in challenging violence against girls women and embodying the culture that allows them to feel safe in society.
