Dear Yogi’s,
We have just 2 left on this much-loved workshop with Eliza on the 2nd May.
Restorative Yoga is unique in that its whole approach is based on minimising impact and stress on the tissues of the body. In photos, it can look a lot like Yin, but the intention and approach are worlds apart.
Yin yoga is designed to place controlled, healthy stress on the deeper tissues of the body—improving circulation and releasing tension.
Restorative yoga, on the other hand, removes as many stressors as possible through the use of props, specific cues, and postures that create minimal impact on the joints. This is why it can feel a little unusual if you’ve never tried it before—especially if you’re used to classes that aim to create strong sensations in the body.
Restorative yoga is perfect for those working with chronic illness, depletion, exhaustion, physical rehab, or anyone with a busy life in need of something deeply restful.
Paired with yoga Nidra & sound, this practice is a trio made in heaven.
Eliza is a long-time practitioner and teacher of all three modalities, as well as a teacher of teachers—so you can rest assured you’re in very good hands for this blissful morning of deep rest.
