Our wonderful Care assistant Kirsty dedicated her evening to . Lighting up Sandmere in dedication to all those who have suffered the loss of a baby. Thank you Kirsty for raising awareness for baby loss awareness week and giving our residents and staff a safe space to share their experiences and remember their loved ones who were gone too soon. 💙💕

There's nothing quite like a cup of tea and a read of the newspaper on a drizzly day.

John & Raymond enjoyed catching up on the latest news together while awaiting supper time at Sandmere yesterday afternoon.

Newspapers are delivered every morning to Sandmere so our residents can keep up up to date with the latest news and stories.

Tonight at 7:00 PM we participate in the global Wave of Light. This heartfelt event unites families and friends around the world in remembrance of the precious lives lost too soon. By lighting a candle for at least 1 hour, we collectively create a beautiful wave of light that transcends borders and unites us in hope and healing. Let us honour the memories of our beloved babies and support one another in this shared moment of reflection and love.

Yesterday we celebrated a very special day at Sandmere - Susan's Birthday!

Our team and residents came together at supper time to share smiles, memories and most importantly ....... Birthday cake!

We're very lucky to have her as part of our Sandmere Community, here's to another year filled with smiles, laughter and happiness.

Did someone say Bingo!

Our residents had a wonderful time in the café this afternoon enjoying a few lively rounds of bingo. Laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles filled the room.

It’s always special to see everyone come together, share a cuppa, and make memories over a game we all love. 🩵

Let's roll out the red carpet for the new stars joining the Sandmere Care Home family! Today, they participated in their induction day with our Home Manager and Business Administrator. We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter at Sandmere. Our new staff can't wait to officially start and meet our lovely residents.

Exciting Staff Update: Donna's New Role!

We have some exciting news to share about one of our dedicated team members. Donna, who has been a vital part of our housekeeping team since September, has transitioned into the role of Activities Assistant!

During her time in housekeeping, Donna ensured our residents' rooms and communal areas were kept clean and tidy to the highest standards. Her hard work and dedication made a significant impact on our community, and she got to know our residents well during this time.

Now, Donna is focusing on arranging and hosting a wide variety of engaging activities for our residents. From painting sessions and bingo games to quizzes and movie afternoons, Donna is working hard to bring joy and creativity to our residents.

We are thrilled to see Donna flourish in her new role and know she will continue to make Sandmere a wonderful place for everyone. Please join us in congratulating Donna on this exciting new chapter!
