🎉 Happy 90th Birthday, Marie! 🎂💐

Today we are celebrating a truly special milestone as our wonderful Marie turns 90 years young! 🥳

Marie holds a very special place in all our hearts here at Sandmere Care Home, as she was our very first resident, joining us right at the beginning of our journey in October 2024. From day one, she has been a cherished part of the Sandmere family.

From everyone at Sandmere, we wish you the happiest of birthdays, Marie, filled with love, laughter, and special moments. Thank you for being such an important part of our story 💖

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of our Dementia Community Café this Friday 6th February! We will be holding this on the first Friday of every month across our Sandmere main café and private dinning room. We hope to see many of you there ☕

Thank you to Joy and Banks the Therapy Donkey for visiting us & providing lots of cuddles yesterday to our staff and residents! We are currently sorting through the many wonderful photos and will be uploading them throughout the today and tomorrow for everyone to enjoy.

Hello everyone! Olivera the Wellbeing Co-ordinator here, sharing with you our activities schedule for this week. I will be aiming to post these each Friday evening going forward, so you know in advance the activities and groups planned for the following week for our residents. The activity schedule is influenced by feedback and preferences from residents, so no two schedules will be the same. We look forward to seeing everyone who can attend and sharing exciting events and activities with you in the future

We were delighted to welcome ZooLab to Sandmere Care Home for a truly hands-on animal experience! Our residents had the chance to see and learn about some fascinating creatures up close, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and moments of amazement throughout the session.

It was lovely to see everyone so engaged — our residents absolutely loved it ❤️
A big thank you to ZooLab for such an informative and enjoyable visit. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

JoJo's School of Dance & Performing Arts brought festive, holiday cheer to Sandmere Care Home! 🎄✨ Their talented students delighted everyone with performing Christmas songs and poems, spreading joy and smiles. Huge thanks to JoJo for making the season special! 🌟
