🎵 “I am the music man, I come from far away… and I can play!” 🎵
Well, it turns out Jon can play everything — and so could our residents!

Yesterday morning was filled with rhythm and joy as our residents were treated to a lively musical session featuring drums, guitars, and tambourines. The best part? They got to join in too, singing along and making music together in a good old-fashioned sing-along! 🎶🥁🎸✨

Yesterday our residents took full advantage of the sunshine by spending the afternoon playing garden games. Featuring a little nod to Wimbledon with our strawberries & cream on the lawn.

Our beautiful volunteer Sharon attended Sandmere this morning, bringing her warmth and energy to our community. She organised chair zumba , the perfect exercise for our lovely ladies. These activities boost flexibility, circulation, strength, and mood. The session was full of laughter, thanks to Sharon's encouragement. We’re grateful for her positive impact. 💃🪑🎶

Staff Update.

Introducing our newly appointment Business Administrator Emma.

Previously our Receptionist at Sandmere, Emma has recently been promoted to Business Administrator. Emma had done a fantastic job in ensuring residents, relatives & visitors feel welcome at Sandmere as well as supporting management and staff members with their admin needs. Emma is looking forward to starting this new job role and says she will always make time for a catch up with residents and family members.

Dementia Action Week - 19th to 25th May 2025

This campaign is run by the Alzheimer’s Society and aims to encourage individuals and organizations across the UK to act on dementia and raise awareness about the importance of timely and accurate diagnosis.

Sarah has been working hard in the lead up to dementia week ensuring we have helpful resources on display in our waiting area as well as Forget-Me-Not Badges which we are selling for £2.00 and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society.

We were treated to the magnificent sound of ukuleles being strummed on Wednesday when we had our first visit from the band ukulele allsorts. Well done to Anne and the band. We were all thoroughly mesmerised with the unique sound and enjoyed a jolly good sing along.
