Senior Administrator Including Technical Development

Job Title: Senior Administrator
Salary Range: £13.40 per hour
Hours: 15 – 20 hours per week (46 weeks per year)

Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Administrator will provide high-level administrative, data management, and organisational support to ensure the effective operation of MCCPL. The role includes supporting performance reporting, communications, and compliance, while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of services.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and populate organisational databases to support performance reporting requirements for funding agencies, including producing agreed data analysis as required.
• Develop and deliver media and communication initiatives to support service provision, including promotional materials, in-house displays, and social media content.
• Manage and maintain MCCPL social media platforms, ensuring accurate, timely, and engaging information is shared to maximise reach and engagement.
• Provide administrative support to the Manager and Finance function, including data entry relating to payments, early years funding applications, and other financial processes.
• Coordinate annual timelines and data collection requirements, including gathering information from parents/carers, staff, partner organisations, and children.
• Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles, and all MCCPL policies and procedures.
• Oversee, review, and update organisational policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and compliant.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager, Chair, and Management Board, including organising meetings, preparing and distributing documentation, and taking accurate minutes.
• Undertake reception duties as required, acting as a professional first point of contact for visitors and stakeholders.
• Carry out any other duties as required by the MCCPL Manager to support the effective delivery of services.
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally at a senior level
• Can adapt and adjust to a demanding environment with patience, understanding and professionalism
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Experience of maintaining databases and producing accurate reports
• High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience of using and managing social media platforms for communication or promotion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, as well as part of a team
• Understanding of data protection requirements, including GDPR
• Experience of organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking accurate minutes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience working in the voluntary, community, or early years sector
• Knowledge of performance reporting requirements for funding bodies
• Experience supporting governance or working with boards/committees
• Experience of developing promotional materials or communication campaigns
• Understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles in practice
• Experience of policy development or review
• Familiarity with early years funding processes or similar administrative system.
