Ladies, what a night to kick off Season 4!
It was so good to be back, and you brought the energy with two brilliantly competitive games.

✨ 7pm Game – Pinks vs Greens
The Pinks and Greens started Season 4 with a bang. What looked like a one-sided game in the early quarters soon turned into a nail-biter, with the final two quarters evenly matched. Final score: Pinks 32 – Greens 20.

⭐ Star Player (Greens): Tracy – stepping in as a sub tonight, well done!

⭐ Star Player (Pinks): Layla – who also takes the bonus point.

✨ 8pm Game – Blues vs Yellows
This one was neck and neck for a long time before the Yellows pulled away in the final stages. Final score: Yellows 37 – Blues 28.

⭐ Star Player (Blues): Chelsea

⭐ Star Player (Yellows): Anna – who also takes the bonus point.

👏 The umpires said it was tough to pick tonight as there were so many standout performances across both games. Fantastic work all round!

🏐 End of an Era – St George’s
Tonight marked our last games at St George’s. From next week, we move into our brand-new home at Haddon Dene. I’ll post the revised fixture list in the WhatsApp group shortly.

We’re now starting a waitlist for anyone who’d like to join. As soon as we have 7–8 players, we’ll form a brand-new team to enter the league.

It was great to see you all back tonight fresh from our holidays and you all took the first game of season 4 by storm. We welcomed some guest players this week too and it was lovely to have you with us. The final score was so close.

Friday nights Canterbury netball is back. 🏀

Season 4 here we come.

We are currently looking for new members to create more teams. Get in contact if you would be interested in a trial session. No experience necessary just come along for some fun. Our experienced Umpire is on hand to provide training and advice, where required.

F2F Monday Night – End of Season Wrap-Up (Part 2)

This week saw the Greens take the win, with a final score of 21–14. It was a great game, played in fantastic spirits with plenty of fun had by all. Once again, we were joined by our training umpires, who took part in both of the 7pm games. They brought great energy and gained valuable experience—it's been brilliant having them with us, and we absolutely loved their contribution.

Star Players – Greens vs Whites:
⭐ Green Team: Billie H
⭐ White Team: Jam (who also took the bonus point, well done!)

Moving on to our second 7pm fixture, it was a close and competitive match between the Reds and the Pinks, with the Reds coming out on top, 27–19.

⭐ Reds: Dani
⭐ Pinks: Louise CD (subbing in and making a great impact!)
Dani also claimed the bonus points—brilliant performance!

Our third game of the night was our much-anticipated fun game, and what can I say—it did not disappoint!

The umpires got creative, introducing fun twists like a super-point shooting zone, musical moments, bib swaps, and even a bit of dancing! It had a bit of everything, and the players came off the court beaming. It was a perfect reminder of what this league is all about—joy, community, and a lot of laughs.

If your team hasn’t had your fun game yet—get excited! There’s plenty of fun still to come over the next two weeks.

Final Score: Yellows 22 - 17 Blues

You were all superstars tonight so you all get the star player too :)

Finally, we wrapped up the evening by celebrating our League Champions, as well as our Captains’ Players of the Season and Umpires’ Players of the Season. Huge congratulations to all of you—your efforts, sportsmanship, and energy week after week do not go unnoticed.

Looking forward to seeing you all again next week for more fun, fitness, and fab netball!
