Polite reminder.

With the ongoing Meningitis cases can we please remind patients and visitors to not attend our hospitals if you are feeling unwell or you have been in close contact with anyone who has been confirmed as having Meningitis.

We recommend that when you attend our hospitals that you wear a disposable face mask and will be asking you to sanitise your hands on arrival and at regular intervals.

Please do let us know if you will not be able to attend so we can rearrange your appointment and offer your space to another patient who may be waiting.

Our visiting hours are 11am - 8pm for a maximum of 2 visitors at one time.

With confirmed cases in the local area, watch out for symptoms of Meningitis, such as:

Severe Headache
Sleepiness
Seizure
Light Sensitivity
Vomiting
High Fever
Neck Pain
Rash
Joint Pain

Symptoms of Meningitis can appear in any order. Some may not appear at all. In the early stages, there may not be a rash, or the rash may fade when pressure is applied.

Trust your instincts and seek urgent medical help if you are concerned.

Our Story

‘Spencer Private Hospitals’ are three hospitals situated in South East Kent, the largest of which is a 22 bed independent hospital situated in Margate. which has been open since October 1998. The second hospital comprises of a consulting suite in Ashford which opened in March 2016. Both hospitals have a reputation for providing excellent medical and surgical facilities supported by Specialist Consultants, Specialist Nurses and Physiotherapists. We have state of the art diagnostic equipment and exceptionally high standards of nursing care. We have recently expanded, opening a new location in Canterbury at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital. We are proud to be owned by EKHUFT, with all our locations based within the grounds of EKHUFT hospitals and all profits being invested back into the NHS.
