✨ Microneedling: What to Expect & Aftercare ✨

Immediately After
• Redness and possible pinpoint bleeding
• Skin may feel warm, tight or sensitive
• Pores remain open for up to 24 hours

Healing Timeline
• 1–3 days: redness, mild swelling, dryness or light flaking
• 4–5 days: skin returns to normal
• 3 weeks: pigmentation improvement begins
• 4–6 weeks: visible improvement in lines, texture & scarring

Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts
🚫 No sun, sunbeds or UV exposure
🚫 No intense exercise or sweating
🚫 No hot showers, baths, saunas or spas

How much filler is really in a syringe? 💉

🥄 1 teaspoon = 5 mL

So that means:
• 1 mL = about 1/5 of a teaspoon
• 2 mL = about 2/5 of a teaspoon
• 3 mL = just over half a teaspoon

Easier to imagine now 🫣🥰

👉 1 mL is roughly the size of a coffee bean
👉 2 mL is like two peas
👉 3 mL is similar to a cherry

✨ Small amounts can make a big difference when placed strategically to restore shape and balance to your face without looking overdone.

I had the pleasure of treating a lovely patient who’s had a mole on her leg for as long as she can remember. It interfered with shaving, caused cosmetic concerns, and made her feel self-conscious in biking and shorts — and it simply bothered her.

This area is still healing. Repigmentation can take several months, and the skin may appear darker for a while. Legs also take longer to heal than the face due to reduced blood flow and thicker skin. But how amazing are her results after just one session?
