Summer Tip for a Stronger Heart & Happier Qi

“Flowing water doesn’t get stagnant,” directly applies to the health of your spine

Movement is key to a healthy body. Life moves. Look at anything in nature from a river flowing down the mountain to a tree in the wind. Movement circulates Qi.

Throughout your day, check in with your spine...
Are your shoulders creeping up to your ears?
Is your back hunched from your phone or
computer?
* Take a breath.
+ Bring awareness to your spine.

Summer is the season of the Heart, and the
spine is the bridge to strengthening it.

When your spine is relaxed, you can feel the Qi running along it very strongly because there are a lot of energy channels there. In fact, there are more energy channels here than any other part of the body.

These energy channels are crucial, connecting your internal organs and other parts of the body, highlighting the spine's importance.

there is one activity that focuses on all of the important elements that contribute to a healthy spine: Qi Gong. With the right intention and practice, the meditative movements of Qi Gong can dramatically help to release lines of tension and lubricate the joints and vertebrates

Want better balance? Try Qigong

Those gentle, circular movements aren't just pretty, they're key to stability. Here's why:
*Muscle engagement and posture: Qigong practice focuses on how the body moves, engaging the core, strengthening back muscles and improves posture. This is crucial for maiming good balance
* Proprioception: They enhance your body's awareness of its position in space, improving your sense of balance.
*Slow, Deliberate Movement’s: help build strength and endurance in the legs, good for balance.
* Breathing and Meditation: reduces stress and helps improve relaxation, helping balance and stability.

By improving balance and stability you will move better, feel more confident. Also reducing the risk of falls espically in older people.

Stillness

It is important to take time to be still when there is a decision you need to make about your life.

When you take moments to be still, your breathing changes. You take longer, slower, deeper breaths and that helps still your emotions. When there is no motion in your body, you can think in a clearer way.

Wood Element Spring
The element of growth, a time of fresh growth which is flowing and flexible, think of a tree with the new growth and how the branches flex and move with the wind.
Being flexible and open in our own lives allows us to be adaptable, grow and achieve goals.
If you are imbalanced think of a solid tree trunk that is immovable and could be unrooted.
The wood element when balanced allows the Qi to flow allows us to be flexible in our approach to life
