To be grounded is to be fully in the body. Your energy feels very centered and present within your physical body when you are grounded. You are functioning in the now, rather than your energy being caught in the past or worried about the future. When you are well grounded, feelings of anxiety, hurry and scattered energy disappear. You feel aware and present.

What does it mean to be ungrounded? When you are ungrounded your thoughts are scattered in many different directions. Perhaps you feel urgency. Or you are caught in regret. Trauma is very ungrounding and those who struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder can have great difficulty remaining grounded in their bodies and in the present. We are ungrounded when we are in a state of emergency or hurt. When we are in resistance to the present moment–the things that are going on with us, and around us, or even the emotions that we are experiencing–we become ungrounded. When we are ungrounded, our soul energy shifts away from our body.

Groundedness is an energy state. When we are grounded, our energy is fully rooted in our body through our awareness and our presence. When we are ungrounded our energy is escaping in some form through our thoughts or emotional energy.

Being ungrounded can also happen when our thoughts become scattered, rushing around in all directions or multitasking. Our energy is no longer centered within our body but it is sent racing in many different directions. Likewise, when we are caught in thought loops of regret or worry, our energy is leaking out into the areas where our regret or worry lies. When we cord to others through judgement, gossip, pity, or harsh words, our energy leaves us through our thoughts to bind with those we judge until we release the cord.

When we are connected with our physical bodies, our energy naturally connects to the Earth.
Our bodies naturally want to be grounded and whole. Grounding is as simple as placing a hand on your chest and noticing your breath or your heart beat for a moment, reconnecting with your body.

Or you can ground through to your senses, noticing your surroundings through your sense of sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste or your visceral sense. Any of these senses will bring you back to your present moment surroundings and connect you to physical you.

We all become ungrounded sometimes in the course of life, or even in the course of the day. If you find that you are feeling ungrounded, disconnected and scattered, there is no need to feel that you are doing anything wrong. You have already taken the first step to feeling more grounded by simply noticing how you feel. It only takes a moment of conscious thought and tuning into our own bodies to bring us back to groundedness, which is our natural state of being.

When you breathe slowly and gently, you can feel the energy better, allowing the energy to go through the nervous system even more deeply. The nervous system, responsible for transmitting messages/information throughout the body, has two branches:

The Sympathetic nervous system, which helps to gain energy and The Parasympathetic nervous system, which aids in detoxification.

And so when you breathe slowly and gently, these nervous systems receive more energy, ensuring messages are delivered efficiently to the right areas of the body.

✨Benefits of Slow Breathing: ✨

👉Reduces Stress & Lowers High Blood Pressure

👉Heal faster, increase in oxygen intake to help cope with daily activities in your life.

👉More energy for yourself

👉Slow down your breathing, so you can help yourself to find peace in your heart, so you can activate the love energy to help you heal

👉Creates better energy flow

Your body is not just flesh and bones—it’s a living journal that records every unspoken word, every suppressed feeling, and every unhealed wound. What the mind tries to bury, the body quietly carries.

Here’s where emotions often hide:

🔹 Throat – When you silence yourself, hold back your truth, or swallow your feelings, tension collects here. That tightness in your throat, the sore voice, the urge to constantly clear it—it’s your body asking you to finally speak.

🔹 Shoulders & Neck – The “weight of the world” is not just a phrase. Stress, duties, and endless responsibilities pile up here. That stiffness you feel? It’s your body telling you to put some burdens down.

🔹 Chest/Heart – Grief, heartbreak, and deep sadness lodge in the chest. A “heavy heart” is more than poetry; it’s a real, physical experience of carrying unexpressed sorrow.

🔹 Stomach & Gut – Anxiety, fear, and constant worry upset digestion. Your gut is called the “second brain” for a reason—it feels every storm of your emotions.

🔹 Hips – Trauma and fear often settle here, especially from experiences we never fully processed. Tight hips sometimes tell stories the mouth never could.

🔹 Jaw – Teeth grinding, clenching, or tension in the jaw is often unspoken anger, frustration, or words we were too afraid to release.

🔹 Lower Back – Feelings of lack, insecurity, or not being supported in life often show up here. Financial struggles and fear of failure can literally weigh on your spine.

🔹 Head – Overthinking, constant pressure to achieve, and mental overload lead to headaches and tension in the scalp.

✨ Lesson: The body remembers what the mind forgets. When we don’t process emotions, they don’t disappear—they simply move in and take up space in our physical form.

🌸 Healing begins when we listen. Breathe deeply. Move consciously. Cry when you must. Speak your truth. Release what no longer serves you.

As the Buddha taught: “Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else—you are the one who gets burned.”

🕊 Free your emotions. Free your body. Free your spirit. #

Qigong movements support the body in a natural and balanced way.
Slow, controlled motions help relax tight muscles, improve joint mobility,
and encourage healthy circulation throughout the body.

When movement is combined with calm breathing,
the nervous system begins to settle,
allowing the body to release daily tension and stiffness.
With regular practice, these gentle exercises can support
better balance, easier breathing, improved digestion,
and a greater sense of physical and mental well-being.

Move slowly.
Breathe calmly.
Let the body respond at its own pace

In ancient Chinese mind-body practice combining gentle movement, conscious breathing, and focused awareness, Qigong has been supporting health and resilience for thousands of years.

Unlike high-intensity practices, Qigong works by helping the body return to balance. It supports the nervous system, restores healthy energy flow, and creates space for the mind and body to shift out of constant "fight or flight." In a stressed-out society searching for sustainable solutions, Qigong isn't a trend-it's a return to sacred body wisdom that the ancients knew.

An ancient Chinese mind-body practice combining gentle movement, conscious breathing, and focused awareness, Qigong has been supporting health and resilience for thousands of years.
