Manchester Marathon — COMPLETED! 🏃‍♂️💙

One of the most challenging, emotional and meaningful experiences of my life.

It was so special to have my younger Daughter running at the event along with my good friend Dan.
The support of my Wife and eldest Daughter around the course was so beautiful and having us all meeting up together,after I had crossed the finishing line , is a moment I will never forget .

I will be taking on the Manchester Marathon on Sunday the 19th April 2026 in just over 7 weeks time . I’ve done 10 Half Marathons but never thought I’d do a full marathon. 26 miles! I’m doing it in honour and memory of my amazing Nan, Peggy,

This beloved lady was known for her loving, kind, and generous spirit, always putting family first. She served as a tremendous role model in my life, inspiring me to aim high, work hard and to care deeply for others. I am running to celebrate her legacy and to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Every donation, big or small, will mean the world to me and will help fund vital support for families affected by dementia. Your contributions will push forward crucial research and ensure that no one faces dementia alone. The Alzheimer’s Society works tirelessly towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives by providing help to those living with dementia today and offering hope for the future.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many who are affected by this challenging condition.

Inspired, as ever by friends, family and patients, completed the great eastern half marathon , yesterday. A fab day and very well organised event , made extra special by running with these amazing people . Thanks again for your support 🙏🙏🙏
