Shropshire Respite Centre is looking for a friendly, reliable visiting hairdresser to attend our care home around once a month (or more often depending on residents’ needs).

This is a lovely opportunity to work in a warm, supportive care environment, helping our residents feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for 💛

We’re looking for someone who:
✨ Has experience styling hair for older people
✨ Holds appropriate public liability insurance
✨ Has a current DBS (or is willing to obtain one)
✨ Is kind, patient, and professional

We’re looking for a caring, confident and experienced Senior Carer to join our team over the Christmas period. This short-term role is vital in helping us continue providing exceptional, person-centred care to our long-term residents — many living with dementia — in our warm and homely environment.

💙 About the Role
You’ll be supporting our residents with dignity and compassion, leading shifts, guiding junior staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.

✅ Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (must already be registered)
- Strong experience supporting people with dementia
- Able to work days, nights and/or weekends
- Confident leading a team and completing documentation
- Calm, professional, and safeguarding-aware

⭐ Desirable
- Up-to-date mandatory training (Medication, M&H, Safeguarding, First Aid, etc.)
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience with daily notes, incidents, and care plans

🌟 What We Offer

- 36–48 hours per week (full-time, temporary)

🗳️ Make sure your voice is heard and exercise your right to vote.

Important Reminder: Don't forget to bring your ID! 🆔 🪪

New regulations require all voters to present a valid form of identification at the polling station. Accepted forms of ID include:
