🌟 White Ribbon Day – 25th November 🌟

At Salopian Care, we’re proud to stand alongside communities across the county as we mark White Ribbon Day 2025.

This year, we’re excited to launch Shropshire Speaks Up, our campaign supporting the national theme: “We Speak Up.”

White Ribbon Day is a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to challenge violence, promote respect, and speak up against harmful behaviours.

Through Shropshire Speaks Up, our goal is simple:
To bring together as many communities, organisations, and individuals across Shropshire as possible to actively take part, raise awareness, and show their commitment to safer relationships and safer communities.

💬 Together, we speak up. Together, we make a difference.
Let’s unite our voices across Shropshire this White Ribbon Day.

With the drop in weather this week, its vital we look out for those who may need extra support 💚

With temperatures forecasted to drop across the UK over the next few days, it’s important to make sure that we’re looking out for our loved ones living with dementia.

Winter can be a particularly difficult time for somebody living with dementia. The bad weather and colder temperatures can bring specific challenges, and can sometimes make symptoms temporarily worse.

They may not always be able to communicate that they are cold – or they might not even recognise it themselves.

Perception issues can also make it difficult for someone with dementia to see icy patches on a pavement or understand that a surface may be extra slippery.

So make sure to check in regularly on loved ones, friends and neighbours living with dementia, and follow our useful tips to help support them through the winter.

This Safeguarding Week, Salopian Care is helping raise awareness of the early signs that someone may need extra care and support.

Safeguarding isn’t only about protecting people from harm - it’s also about recognising when someone is beginning to struggle and offering help before it becomes a crisis.

Our carers are trained to notice the little things that matter - from missed meals or confusion, to changes in appearance, mood, or daily routines. These small signs often tell us when extra support could make a real difference.

If you’re worried about someone, trust your instincts.
Reach out, start a gentle conversation, or contact a care provider like Salopian Care for guidance.

Together, we can help people stay safe, supported, and independent in their own homes.

“Putting People First”

Our motto is “Putting People First” and our approach is to place the welfare of people first, treating them with respect and dignity. We aim to offer our clients the highest standard of domiciliary care and for them to be delighted with the service they receive. We believe that the delivery of quality care services starts with the recruitment of high calibre staff, backed up by solid processes and ongoing skills development.
