Another Year supporting our local Market Drayton Carnival❤️

Where do we start...Thank you - Those words don't feel big enough to convey the gratitude we have to those that helped us pull yesterday off!

There may be only Two of us that pull everything together but none of it is possible without each and every individual that Volunteers, Donates, Sponsors, Supports, Partakes, Celebrates & Encouraged yesterday to become reality!

Let's be Frank - Things cost money! We are a completely self funded NFP event and nothing can happen without the support of local businesses coming forward and helping which we are so grateful for! Carnival Day wouldn't be possible without them

A Head for Heights creating our stage set up & ngage radio keeping us entertained all day

Event Furniture Hire & Mike Hodgson Helping us create a great VIP space for volunteers and sponsors to relax and give back to them.

Tim Manton for not only taking on the difficult task of judging the parade but also Interlink Design & Display Ltd For creating signage around town.

Market Drayton Town Council for there increased guidance and support.

Roy Blase for his knowledge and support in pulling people together and helping build the parade to become bigger and better.

The Parade is a Key part of Carnival day but also one of the most challenging to manage. It isn't possible without the integral Marshalls that volunteer their time to support closing the roads and keep everyone safe! This year we had the support of R H Traffic management headed up by Tiny which helped it run so much smoother (we hope you all agree) rhtrafficmanagement.co.uk
The Magic created from the parade only happens with the hours/days/weeks spent by groups of people creating Incredible Float's and costumes for walking & Vehicles of all shapes and Sizes.
Thank you to all that took part, everyone looked Incredible!
Our Float Winner this year was Market drayton Royal British Legion with Moana, Runners up were We Can Care LTD with Minions - the Walking Group Winner was Market Drayton Brownies, Guides and Rainbows.
There was an incredible buzz around town with spectators lining the roads to support everyone involved. Grove School and Sixth Form Market Drayton supported by allowing us to use their car park.

Of course the support from the community, showing up all day to create an incredible atmosphere!

Willow Home Care LTD PARADE ROUTE!!

We needed to ensure we have enough Marshalls to safely close the road for the longer route before announcing it so apologies for the delay.
As you will see it is very similar to previous years.

The Parade is due to set off from the Grove school at 12pm - we endeavour to do a rolling road closure and open to help limit the impact to drivers as much as possible.

Please be kind and patient with Marshalls they are there as volunteers to keep everyone safe and we will open the roads back up as soon as possible!

We anticipate the parade to last around 1 hour - As you can see it loops down Frogmore Road Twice so it's a great spot to catch all the action 😊

There will be a prize giving to the Winners of the Parade on the Main Stage in the Town park at 2pm!

If you have any questions please come along and ask.
If you could spare an hour or two on the day to volunteer please come along and you will be briefed.

Less than 3 weeks to go and everything is slowly coming together!

There is still time to join Willow Home Care LTD Parade - it's free to enter and a great opportunity to showcase your business or group - enjoy dressing up with friends or showing off your vintage vehicle/fast car/huge tractor/loud motorbike... There will also be a 1st & 2nd Prize up for grabs!

There are 2 stall places available if you've been thinking about joining us on the day.

You’re just a carer they say, you just make them a cup of tea and have a chat..

However we’re much more than that🤔

- we’ve been with residents as we’ve watched them take their last breath, we’ve held their hand to the very last minute and then had to hold the tears while we ring family and inform loved ones💔

- Dealing with Dementia day in and day out, not taking the actions or words to heart because we know this isn’t usually them, it’s a cruel disease and watching people become less than themselves is truly heartbreaking🥹

- Although the days are busy and the workload is always growing, there are still those special moments when someone says or does something and you know you’ve made a difference in someone’s life💕

- Seeing someone smile the minute you walk through the door because they have been on their own or not seen anyone for a while and just realising your presence really does change someones life on a daily basis🥰

- some days we go home in tears because of the day we’ve had, feeling like we’ve not done enough however we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Health care Assistants most definitely do not get the recognition that we need, but to all carers out there, please remember you change someones life every single day so keep going even on the hard days, because it is so worth it every day💕💕
