🧶 A Busy Day at Rosewood Manor! ☕
We’ve had a wonderful day filled with creativity, treats, and great company.
Morning: Knit & Natter
We kicked things off with our Knit & Natter session. As always, the lovely Peggy took charge! She was on hand to lend her expertise, helping everyone find their rhythm and fix those tricky dropped stitches. It’s so lovely to see our residents supporting one another.
Afternoon: Coffee, Cakes & Catch-ups
The afternoon was all about relaxing. We hosted a Coffee & Catch-up, complete with:
🍰 Delicious homemade cakes
☕ Freshly brewed coffee
🎶 A background of favorite tunes
There’s nothing quite like good music and a sweet treat to get the conversation flowing!

What a week it has been! From belly laughs during our morning socials to breezy afternoon outings, the energy around the manor has been absolutely infectious. ✨
We’ve been keeping busy, staying active, and—most importantly—having a whole lot of fun together. They say time flies when you’re having a blast, and this week certainly proved it!

☕️ Cakes, Coffee, and Catch-ups! 🍰
We’ve had a wonderful, action-packed day here at Rosewood Manor!
We kicked things off this morning with a cozy Coffee & Catch-up session. There was plenty of chatter, laughter, and—of course—heaps of tea, coffee, and delicious cakes to go around. It was the perfect way to start the day.
The excitement continued into the afternoon with a fantastic Scottish-themed performance by the talented 2 of Diamonds! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶
A huge thank you to Sally and Rob for putting on such a brilliant show and keeping us all entertained. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

A Very Special Celebration at Rosewood Manor! 🎂
While our calendars are usually packed with crafts, games, and music, today we’re hitting the "pause" button on our usual activities for a very important reason.
It’s Eileen’s Birthday! 🥳
Eileen brings so much light and joy to our Rosewood family, and today is all about her. We’re spending the day celebrating her wonderful life, sharing stories, and, of course, enjoying plenty of cake! 🍰✨

We had a lovely creative weekend at Rosewood Manor Care Home ❤️

We celebrated Burns Night with some baking, making delicious shortbread biscuits, decorating Scottish flags, and enjoying a movie in our cinema 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎬

Everyone really enjoyed getting involved in the baking—and of course tasting the biscuits! A wonderful time was had by all 🥰🍪

🎉 A Day of Music & Mindfulness at Rosewood Manor!
What a sensational way to wrap up our week! 🌟
We kicked off the morning with a high-energy performance by Kyle Newman. The maracas were out, the ribbons were flying, and the atmosphere was electric! Thank you, Kyle, for such a wonderful, musical start to the day. 🎶🪇
The excitement continued into the afternoon as we welcomed the lovely Helen for a refreshing yoga session. It was the perfect way to find our "zen" and stretch out after a busy morning. 🧘‍♀️✨
A huge thank you to our performers and instructors for making today so special for our residents!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A Day of Music and Heritage at Rosewood Manor! 🎶
The countdown to Burns Night is officially on! We’ve had a busy, smile-filled day getting ready for the festivities.
Morning Crafting: 🎨
We spent our morning getting creative and making flags to decorate the manor. A very special shout-out to our lovely resident Nanette—a true Scots lady! We’ve been busy laminating her items to make sure she’s the star of the show for our upcoming celebrations.
Afternoon Tunes: 🪕
The energy stayed high this afternoon as we welcomed the fantastic Strictly Ukuleles! They put on a brilliant performance that had us all tapping our toes and singing along. A huge thank you to the group for bringing so much joy to our lounge.
It’s been a day full of community, culture, and great music. We can’t wait for the big night!

💃 Boogie Beatz Time!
The excitement continued into the afternoon as we welcomed the wonderful Hannah to the manor. She got everyone moving and grooving with a Boogie Beatz session! It was the perfect blend of exercise, music, and great fun to keep our spirits high and our hearts healthy.

🧶 Knits, Knots, and Bullseyes at Rosewood Manor! 🎯
We’ve had a fantastic, action-packed day here at the manor!
We started our morning with our Knitting Club. There was plenty of "natter" to go around as our residents worked on their latest projects. It’s always such a lovely time to catch up and share stories over the clicking of needles. 🧵☕
In the afternoon, the energy shifted as we welcomed back a fan favorite! Simon returned with the incredibly popular Waleys Dart Days. The competition was fierce but friendly!
🏆 The Results are In:
Staff Champion: For the second time running, Mark holds onto his title! He’s our undisputed champ... for now. (Watch out, Mark—Steph says she’s coming for that trophy next time! 👀💪)
Resident Champion: A massive congratulations to Jean, who took home the top spot for our residents!
Well done, Jean! You certainly have a sharp eye! 🎯✨

The celebrations haven't stopped at Rosewood Manor! After wishing Rachel a huge Happy Birthday this past Sunday, we spent all of today pampering ourselves.
The atmosphere has been amazing! From Peggy spinning circles in her chair with joy to Nanette proudly showing off her fresh manicure to everyone she meets, it’s been a day of pure fun.
There’s nothing like a little "me time" to start the week off right! 😊

Happy Birthday to the wonderful Jackie! 🥳
Life at Rosewood Manor is a lot more musical with Jackie around—mostly because of her famous sneezes and that wonderful, booming laugh! Thank you for bringing so much joy and fun to our home every single day.

Weekly Highlights at Rosewood Manor
Tuesday: Laughter & Fresh Air
The week kicked off with our Knitting Club, which was full of more comedy than crafting! Peggy took the lead, though she spent a good portion of the session "critiquing" Mark’s creative (if slightly useless) attempts at knitting. Maureen couldn't resist joining in on the friendly banter, too!
After the excitement of the morning, we headed out for a coffee shop trip. It was wonderful to get some fresh air and enjoy a change of scenery over a warm brew.
Wednesday: Meetings & Movement
Wednesday morning was dedicated to our Residents' Meetings. While the paperwork might be a bit dry, these sessions are vital for ensuring everyone has their say in how the home is run. We balanced the serious morning with an active afternoon of Skittles, which was a huge hit with everyone.
Thursday: Musical Melodies
Following another round of morning meetings, the atmosphere at Rosewood was transformed by the lovely Zoe Snow. She spent the afternoon singing for us, and her performance was the perfect way to wrap up the day. A huge thank you to Zoe for sharing her talent with us!
