🌟 Good News from Market Harborough Medical Centre 🌟

We’re pleased to share some positive updates with our patients:

❄️🔥 Improved Comfort in Our Waiting Area
We have recently installed air conditioning in our waiting area at Market Harborough Medical Centre. This will help keep the space cooler during the summer months and warmer in the winter, ensuring a more comfortable environment for everyone visiting us.

🩸👩‍⚕️ Welcome to Our New Phlebotomist
Introducing our new practice phlebotomist, Emma, who has joined us this week. We are aware that our wait time for routine bloods had increased to 4 weeks and are pleased to announce that thanks to Emma joining the team, this has now come back down again to only 1 week.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

💉Protect your child with routine NHS vaccinations💉

Childhood immunisations are a safe and effective way to protect your child from serious illnesses such as measles, mumps and whooping cough. Vaccines are offered free of charge on the NHS and are an important part of keeping your child healthy.

Your child will be invited for vaccinations at the recommended ages. It’s important to attend these appointments on time to ensure they are fully protected.

If you think your child has missed a vaccination, it’s not too late – please contact the practice to arrange an appointment.

📞 Get in touch with our reception team to book or check your child’s immunisation status
👩‍⚕️ Speak to a clinician if you have any questions or concerns

By keeping up to date with vaccinations, you are helping to protect your child and others in the community.

You can check when vaccinations are due via the link below.

April is Stress Awareness Month 💙

Stress is something we all experience, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can start to affect both our mental and physical health.

You might notice signs like:
• Feeling anxious, irritable or low
• Trouble sleeping or constant fatigue
• Headaches, muscle tension, or changes in appetite
• Difficulty concentrating

The good news is—there are ways to manage stress, and support is available.

Simple steps that can help:
✔ Take regular breaks and make time for yourself
✔ Stay active—even a short walk can boost your mood
✔ Talk to someone you trust
✔ Try relaxation techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness

For trusted advice and self-help tools, visit the NHS Every Mind Matters stress page:
