๐Ÿ’‰ Protect Yourself with the HPV Vaccine ๐Ÿ’™

The HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine helps protect against cancers caused by HPV, including cervical cancer, as well as some other cancers and ge***al warts.

The vaccine is routinely offered through school vaccination programmes to:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Children aged 12โ€“13 (Year 8)
๐Ÿ‘‰ If you are under 25 and missed your HPV vaccine, you can still get vaccinated - please contact the surgery.

If you or your child has been invited for the HPV vaccine, we strongly encourage you to take up the offer. Itโ€™s a safe and effective way to protect health now and in the future.

If youโ€™re unsure whether you or your child is eligible, or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our team โ€” weโ€™re happy to help.

Every step counts!

Increasing your daily steps doesnโ€™t have to be overwhelmingโ€”start small and build up gradually. Try adding an extra 500 steps each day by making simple changes: take the stairs instead of the lift, park a little further from your destination, or enjoy a short walk during your lunch break.

These small adjustments add up over time, improving your heart health, boosting your energy, and lifting your mood.

Visit www.ChooseToLiveBetter.com for more tips and advice on getting active.

๐Ÿ’™ Cervical Cancer Prevention Week ๐Ÿ’™

This week is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week โ€” an important reminder of how we can all take steps to protect our health.

Cervical screening (smear tests) helps prevent cervical cancer by detecting changes early, before cancer develops. Itโ€™s a quick test that can make a life-saving difference.

If youโ€™ve received an invitation for cervical screening and havenโ€™t booked yet, please consider making an appointment. If youโ€™re unsure whether youโ€™re due, our team will be happy to help.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Cervical screening is for people aged 25โ€“64
๐Ÿ‘‰ Even if you feel well, screening is still important
๐Ÿ‘‰ If youโ€™re anxious or have concerns, talk to us โ€” weโ€™re here to support you

Letโ€™s work together to prevent cervical cancer ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’‰ MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.
Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You donโ€™t need to do anything โ€” We will be in touch when your child is due.
