🌸 FLOWER POWER 🌸

Hints of spring are appearing around Oxendon House.

The residents enjoyed helping make up our hanging baskets this morning 🌸

Our regular little helper, Flo, is raising money for Oxendon House activity fund!
Flo is a regular helper with activities here at Oxendon and can often be found playing dominoes or reading with our residents.

Flo will be trekking the peak district starting from Castleton 📍and walking the Mam Tor 📍 circular walk, approximately 6 miles in total. 🌳🌅🌄

New pink Hiking boots are on order and shes raring to go! The walk will take place in March ( date TBA) to allow for some better weather to ensure the walk is as safe ‼️as possible. Date will be announced early March.

All proceeds will go to Oxendon House activity fund 🥰

AUSTRALIA DAY 🦘🐨🇦🇺🌏

G’day from all of us at Oxendon house!

Our residents were buzzing as they celebrated Australia Day, with residents getting stuck into some Aussie-themed crafts, knocking up flags and having a proper good yarn while they worked. There was plenty of banter about Australia’s dangerous animals too—snakes, spiders and crocs—everyone reckoning they’d seen a few shockers in their time. To round it all off, they had a fair dinkum Aussie quiz, with lots of laughs, wild guesses and a bit of friendly rivalry to finish the day on a real ripper note.

We are still looking for cake donations for our Friends and Family coffee morning on Saturday 31st January. These can be home made (with ingredients list) or shop bought.
