Some FAQ's we've been asked:
What is an Infrared Sauna and how is it different to a traditional sauna?
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to make heat which warms your body directly and pe*****tes deeply into your muscles and tissues . A regular sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you (meaning it’s easier to breath in an infrared sauna)
An infrared sauna can create reactions like those caused by moderate exercise, such as vigorous sweating and an increased heart rate. An infrared sauna gives these results at lower temperatures than does a regular sauna.
What are the benefits?
• Detoxification - An infrared sauna will help you to sweat out all those toxins in your body
• Exercise Recovery - Through promotion of an increase in blood flow more oxygen and nutrients are delivered to your muscles which aides a faster recovery allowing you be to ready for that next hard session!
• Pain relief- As infrared saunas pe*****te deeper into your muscles and tissues than traditional saunas it helps to provide relief from aches, pains and stiffness
• Skin Health - increased circulation can help to clear pores and improve skin tone
• Immune system boost - the heat can help fight off infections by raising body temperature and supporting the immune system
• Relaxation and Stress reduction - the warmth promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety helping to promote better sleep quality
• Improved cardiovascular health, potentially reducing blood pressure and increasing aerobic endurance
How long should I stay in it?
You can stay in it as long as you like up to 90minutes however, if you aren’t a regular Sauna user then it’s a good idea to build up the length of time and temperature before attempting the full 90 minutes!
What shall I bring/wear?
Arrive in the clothes you are happy to get sweaty in! We would recommend a swimming costume/trunks that you are comfortable in. Bring a towel with you and jacket/dry robe for afterwards. It’s recommended you wait a while to have a shower afterwards to give your body time to cool down so either bring a change of clothes to go home in or a jacket to wear over your clothes
