We had a beautiful day in the sunshine yesterday ☀️ we plated sunflowers, scattered some seeds in our large raised beds and enjoyed the company of others 🧡

Spring is springing here at Market Lavington Care Home - We've got sunshine 🌞 beautiful flowers and we even started our Tulip art project where we made tulips out of handprints 🌷🧡

We have had a very cosy afternoon with our Therapy Dog Moose!! Lots of cuddles, licks and treats given. Moose always puts a smile on residents and staff's faces🐾🐶🥰🧡

We welcomed the wonderful Lottie back with Zoo Lab!! Friday had us getting curious about Cockroaches, Scorpion, a Snake, a Tortoise, and a Gecko! 🐢🐍🦎🪳 so many amazing questions were asked and some fabulous observations! 🥰🧡

Save the date 🧡 6th of May 10:30-12:15 at Market Lavington Care Home - we are hosting a cake sale in aid of Dementia UK so they can support families facing Dementia. Let's get together for quality time accompanied with tea and cake and raise some money for this wonderful charity.

We're pleased to announce we will be doing food bank collections for The Trussell Trust. They do amazing work to support the community. We have a donation box in our entrance in the top building or you can give your donations to the wellbeing team or the housekeepers. Our first donation will be made in May.

What a wonderful Easter we have had at Market Lavington!! We had lots of Easter eggs, a visit from the AI Easter bunny and we had laughs with the Easter raffle and played dress up!

On Wednesday we ventured off to Woodborough Garden Centre and enjoyed a tea and cake in the glorious sunshine 🌞💐 Both ladies we took both said how beautiful it was and after we enjoyed the local landscape. 🧡

On Saturday the 14th of March we celebrated the 100th birthday of our wonderful resident Joy 🌟 she was joined by all her friends and family for an afternoon of family love to mark this occasion 😌 Joy also did a wonderful radio interview that you can hear on BBC Wiltshire from Saturday 11:30.

Since her birthday she has opened 60 birthday cards and has enjoyed reflecting on the day 🍾🎊🎉

Here at Market Lavington we celebrated Mothering Sunday by reflecting on our residents Mums. They either described what they looked like, memories they had or just how they made them feel. 🌼🥰 It was a beautiful day full of reflections and nostalgia. 🧡
Over the day we made a canvas of words reflecting about all Mums, residents and staff shared words which was so moving to create; we then had tea and hot cross buns and scones together.

Our residents had a wonderful creative weekend making these gorgeous daffodils in preparation for St. David's Day 🌼🌼🧡

We took advantage of the sunshine this morning and enjoyed a drive around the countryside and stopped at Marshalls bakery 🥯 in Pewsey. We then drove the West Woods near Marlborough for cake and to see the snowdrops.

We all had a great time ☺️ 🧡
