On Saturday the 14th of March we celebrated the 100th birthday of our wonderful resident Joy 🌟 she was joined by all her friends and family for an afternoon of family love to mark this occasion 😌 Joy also did a wonderful radio interview that you can hear on BBC Wiltshire from Saturday 11:30.

Since her birthday she has opened 60 birthday cards and has enjoyed reflecting on the day 🍾🎊🎉

Here at Market Lavington we celebrated Mothering Sunday by reflecting on our residents Mums. They either described what they looked like, memories they had or just how they made them feel. 🌼🥰 It was a beautiful day full of reflections and nostalgia. 🧡
Over the day we made a canvas of words reflecting about all Mums, residents and staff shared words which was so moving to create; we then had tea and hot cross buns and scones together.

We took advantage of the sunshine this morning and enjoyed a drive around the countryside and stopped at Marshalls bakery 🥯 in Pewsey. We then drove the West Woods near Marlborough for cake and to see the snowdrops.

We've had such a lovely day watching our birds from our windows. We did our own twist on the bird watch set by the RSPB 🐦🧡 we were amazed at the variety of birds we found when we took the time to stop and look. One of our residents bears also joined us in looking for birds 🧸

Last Saturday we hosted our wonderful Christmas Carol Concert. The whole event is planned by our residents who choose the songs and this year we were supported by family members, local musicians from our community and the wonderful Christian who preformed for us!!

We had a great turn out and the audience was wonderful - we then all enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine. 🥰🧡🎄

Here at Market Lavington we wanted to share some kindness to those living on their own in our community this Christmas. We put together a hamper of teas, coffee, biscuits and mince pies and we went to deliver them this morning. We were supported by the lovely Barbara from the Tuesday Club in Market Lavington. 🧡🍪🥰🎄

Those who received a hamper were thrilled and touched by the kind gesture 🧡
