I get asked a lot why I don’t call my head-focused treatments Indian head massages, here’s why 👇

I trained in Indian head massage at Level 3, spending months studying its techniques and ancient Ayurvedic lineage. I take inspiration from this work and have a deep respect for its heritage and for practitioners who continue to offer it in its traditional form, so it only feels right that I wouldn’t use the name unless it truly reflects what I’m offering.

After working closely with my clients, I curated the Crown Reset based on your needs, your experiences, and my own way of working, to create something for deep relaxation and emotional support — a space where you can properly drop in and switch off.

So if you’re after a traditional Indian head massage, I might not be your girl. 🤷‍♀️

If you’re looking for a more traditional Ayurvedic-style approach, there are some incredible local practitioners who honour that lineage beautifully — and that might be more what you’re after.

BUT if you’re open to something a little different, here’s how Crown Reset compares:

🪷 Positioning & Set-up
Traditional = Often seated/upright - sometimes laid
Crown Reset = always lying down, warm, cocooned, heated eye mask + blankets, heated bed and fully switched off

✋ Techniques & Focus
Traditional = kneeding, circular movements, tapping, acupressure, neck & shoulders (sometimes upper back)
Crown Reset = inspired by these foundations, blended with slower holds, nervous system-focused touch, fascia release + full upper body work (back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, chest)

Pup & Paint is BACK 🐾🎨

After the last evening was such a success we’re back with another lovely pup!

And before you say “But what if I can’t draw?” So what?! It’s not about being good. It’s not about getting it perfect. It’s not about creating something worthy of hanging in a gallery.

It’s about letting go, play and reconnecting with a part of you that doesn’t need to overthink everything!

This is your space to be messy, to try, to laugh, to create something that’s completely yours — without judgement.

You’ll be guided through your own pup-inspired painting (your dog, your dream dog, or just vibes 🐶), with gentle support throughout.

The first Pup n Paint Night was 🤌

I had an idea in my head of how I wanted the night to go, but as always had no idea how it would actually unfold 😂 However every single woman that walked through that door brought such incredible energy, embraced it all, and made the night what it was — I can’t thank you all enough. 🫶

Seeing the Selkie space filled with laughter, creativity, and lovely souls all making a mess together meant so much. I could’ve had a little cry at the end 🥲 — this is exactly why I always knew I wanted a bigger space: to create a genuine community where we can gather, connect, and do things differently.

A huge thank you to Bella’s lovely mum Bobbi for spending her Friday night with us, and of course to baby Bella for being the most perfect first pup model and absolute star of the show. 🐶

I wasn’t going to share this just yet… but as per I’m too excited not to 🤣

In June, I’ll officially be starting a sound therapy course ✨

This is something I’ve felt quietly drawn to for a while now, and it finally feels like the right time to follow it.

This will include working with crystal singing bowls, shamanic drums, pyramids and more — bringing in a whole new layer to the way I can create space and treatments for you.

Soon I’ll be weaving soundscapes into your treatments, holding sound baths within the Selkie space, and bringing this into circles and upcoming events too. It feels like a really natural next step — creating deeper rest, reconnection, and those slower, softer moments we don’t get enough of.

🌀Full circle moment 🌀

When Holly – lovely human and creator of soulscriptmusings_ + no_write_answer– reached out to chat about Selkie, imposter syndrome hit HARD. 😆

But I said yes anyway… and I’m so glad I did.

Talking about the journey that led to Selkie (and everything since) felt a bit surreal. It was also a reminder of how easy it is to get caught up in always wanting more – to grow, evolve, expand – and forget to look back at all the unexpected little paths that got you here.

And yes… I spoke way too much 😂 no surprises there. But Holly somehow turned my rambling into something that feels really honest, grounded, and something I’m genuinely proud of.

The publication itself is beautiful – filled with wellness and thought-provoking pieces, alongside other incredible local folk doing amazing things.

We’re often taught not to shout about our wins – I’m definitely guilty of that – but this feels different. I’m proud of this. And I’m proud of me.
