We would like to share the news that our much-loved GP, Dr. Simon Allen, will be officially retiring on 24th September 2025.

Dr. Allen has been a valued member of Meden Medical Services for the past 23 years. Throughout his time with us, he has provided outstanding care, support, and compassion to countless patients and their families. His calm presence, wealth of knowledge, and unwavering commitment to patient wellbeing have made a lasting impact on both the practice and the wider community.

Dr. Allen’s retirement is very much deserved, and while we will miss him greatly, we are incredibly grateful for the many years of dedicated service he has given.
On behalf of everyone at Meden Medical Services, we extend our warmest wishes to Dr. Allen for a long, healthy, and happy retirement.

Going away in the summer holidays? Make sure your child is protected from measles.

Two doses of the MMR vaccines provides lifelong protection – if they’re not up to date, contact your GP practice before you travel.

Our CAMHS Mental Health Support Teams are inviting local families to join them for exciting story and art sessions, running in libraries across Nottinghamshire over the summer.
The sessions are aimed at children aged 5-9 and plan to support mental health in a fun and engaging way.

The team will be reading some favourite stories about growing in confidence, celebrating strengths, and highlighting how to keep going when facing challenges. They'll be sharing tips on how to manage feelings and making art to support wellbeing.

The first one is tomorrow at Cotgrave library, 10am-12pm. Find out more: https://orlo.uk/riFHt
