I have **TWO SPACES LEFT** for Monday night's Meditation Group next week in Market Weighton. Let me know if one of those spaces has your name on it ☺️☺️ It would be great to meet you and spread the word about Arras Healing's offerings to the local East Riding region. No prior meditation experience or knowledge required, and a laidback, grassroots and informal setting. All of my groups are mixed gender so are open to men, too. Warmly, your friendly host, ~Candy

If you need a bit of 'me' time this December ~ and the chance to slow down and land in your body ~ then look no further! πŸŽ‰

I am hosting a Meditation and Wellness Group this coming Monday, from my cosy and fully-equipped coaching & therapies space in Market Weighton

Monday 8th Dec, 7pm start
Β£15pp
All ages, genders, abilities
***Max. 5 spaces
Pay by cash or card on the day

πŸ’«πŸŽ„πŸ’«πŸŽ„

To allow for more spaciousness, social connection, and a sense of slowing down this December, I've extended this to a 90-minute session instead of the usual 60-minutes (if you need to leave at 8pm that's fine). If this format works well, I will run the 90-min session more regularly

πŸ’«πŸŽ„πŸ’«πŸŽ„

Soo, meditation?

Meditation is great for connecting to ourselves and our bodies; it's helpful for stress, anxiety and busy minds; getting to know our true thoughts and feelings and our intuition; and being in a group setting is excellent for loneliness and social isolation

The meditation that I teach is accessible and suitable for beginners or advanced. Though it is inspired at times by various teachings from across different traditions, such as Buddhism or yogic styles, I work towards a more universal and intuitive style that attunes to what is emergent in the group field and the people who have come together in the space

There is a general wellness element to my groups, as I'm keen to foster community spirit and connection (even being the big introvert that I am!)

I'm your friendly host Candy and I've been teaching meditation since 2021, and running Arras Healing as a coach, consultant and tutor since 2022

Message me for bookings or queries!

Hi, I’m Candy, and I have β€œa living relationship with my ancestors.” These are some words used to describe me in 2024 by one of my mentors and they’ve really stuck with me

I spent the last five years honing my craft and skills in a range of somatic attunement practices, such as breathwork, polyvagal therapy, bodywork, inner child healing and a type of land connection which I call land whispering for fun

(I hear that some folks are now calling this Archaeotherapy btw! where land and ancestral connection are worked with as foci in the therapeutic relationship ~ awesome!)

I work one-to-one with people as a trauma coach, somatic practitioner, and breathwork therapist, and I’m really passionate about the skillset that I bring to the table. My offer is unique, authentic and bold ~ and I challenge myself every day to walk my talk πŸ‘£πŸŒΏ

During 2025 I also stepped into the next dimension of my growth as a somatic practitioner, by midwifing 'The Ancestors Circle' into being and clock-time 🀍

The Ancestors Circle brings together all of my work in somatics, breathwork, land connection, and trauma healing education. I know it sounds a bit esoteric β€” but I am happy to report that it works and it’s what I’ve been doing for the last 4 years with peers who have been part of my practice journey to date

In the past, I’ve facilitated somatic circles for different topics β€” war trauma, women’s trauma, Roman conquest of Europe trauma, and masculinity. Ancestral reverence and connection β€” combining the resourcing of our nervous systems with those of the resourced and wise ancestors β€” is central to these groups and gatherings. This has been a lost way of working in the West which is now happily returning to us, in these transition times

I also offer relationship coaching, such as healing from trauma bonds, betrayal, breakdown etc, and ancestral trauma work. If you're not sure whether my work is the right fit for you ~ feel free to reach out for a friendly chat!

Evening folks, I am in the process of firming up the date for the Meditation Group as I now have enough interest to proceed with this one (still drumming up interest for the Autism and ADHD Mutual Support Group, but The Ancestors Circle is currently running). I'd like to run this prior to Christmas hols, with a focus on Meditation for Stress and Anxiety, as this seems to be what is most needed right now in the local area. If you haven't posted your interest to me yet ~ please do so in the comments below or drop me a message on here! :D ~Warmly, Candy

This is a somatic and spiritual group space, held in partnership with the wise-and-compassionate, healthy and healed ancestors who consent to be with us outside of clock-time

πŸŒ€ It is a space for healing and presencing ancestral wounds or cycles

πŸŒ€ Just the act of gathering together in the Circle is an act of ancestral healing

At each gathering of the Circle, I endeavour to incorporate:

~meditation and attunement

~informal and inclusive social space (neurodivergent friendly)

~grounding practices such as breathwork and intuitive group coaching

~drumming bath for centring / arrival / clearing of stagnant energies from your day or week

~a sharing circle which works with embodied listening and gentle somatic coaching (bringing together masculine and feminine energies into a grounded and anchored container)

~themed oracle cards where time allows

~poetry/reading/music where time allows

Sharing is always optional! I generally share the somatic group prompt in advance so that you have time to mull over anything you would like to presence in the space, with the witnessing and co-regulation of the ancestors

I am your neurodivergent, friendly host πŸ™‚

Look forward to meeting you, and greeting your ancestors too ~ drop me a line if you'd like to come along!

Warmly, your host
~Candy

Greetings fellow earthlings, so much rain eh! The becks and streams are loving it. I still have some spaces left at The Ancestors Circle next Tuesday, 7pm, in Market Weighton. Drop me a comment or a message if you'd like to come along. It's Β£15pp payable on the day (cash or card)

I work in the loose structure of somatic attunement and embodied listening, which has a good balance of masculine and feminine energies. This supports our intuitive senses and authenticity to come online. And it is a great way of working for sensitive, highly sensitive, and neurodivergent folks πŸŒ€

Here's the group prompt for Tuesday, which stays the same for the first few gatherings & I'll refine as we go along. Don't worry if you haven't worked like this before as it's very laidback, and I join the Circle as a full participant:

πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ

"Is there anything I want to say to the Ancestors today, including if there is anything I would seek clarity on, or more information, or insights, or even support? Or when I see these questions/inquiries, what arises in me, what comes forward for me, into my awareness?"

As you share into the space (or listen to others as they share) notice your somatic "inner listening" ~ which means any sensations, feelings, images, emotions, words, or subtle movements in your body or your internal landscape. It may help to listen or speak with your eyes closed, it is different for everyone though.

As you sense into your inner experience, feel free to speak to your experience, or what arises for you in the moment-to-moment noticing and witnessing. Notice your body, notice your breath, notice the group-field, stay curious and patient with yourself. Notice what you are aware of, or maybe not aware of. There is no right way or wrong way, and it isn't about sharing in the same way that other people share ~ but it's entirely your own process. By practising this, we can build up embodied listening, co-regulated presence, and give more spaciousness to the field of collective witnessing and ancestral awareness.

This is a great post and much-needed correction to the field 😎

This is a great post and much-needed correction to the field 😎

Indigenous knowledge has held an embodied understanding of breath, body, relationship and safety for thousands of generations. These teachings recognise that the nervous system is shaped through Country, kinship, story, rhythm and ceremony.

Polyvagal theory is a helpful contemporary tool, but it sits inside a much older Indigenous worldview about how humans regulate, connect and heal.

Healing deepens when:
❀️ Indigenous wisdom leads the way,
❀️ neuroscience walks alongside rather than defines, and
❀️ somatic practice is grounded in culture, Country and relationship - not just the individual body.

This is a poem written by Mike Edwards, a journalist for The Horncastle News, after visiting the Great War 1914-18 battlefields. It has meant a lot to me over the years since a tour guide handed it to me without saying anything. I had just visited Adanac Cemetery near the Somme in 2017 to see my ancestor, Charles, who died on the final day of the battle (18/11/1916). Thankfully his body was retrieved. He left behind a wife Elsie and two children.

The greatest way to is to forge peace between all nations: animal, human, more-than-human, and Nature, in honour of the restful and the restless dead. Until then we continue to dishonour their suffering and remain stuck in repetition compulsion cycles

A world without war and the maiming of men, animals and people is entirely possible

Every day is remembrance day

Thanks for patience as I get my groupwork going again. I'm currently firming up some part-time work for myself to run adjacent to Arras Healing and I also totally overestimated what I am able to carry without getting over-stimulated as an autistic person! After some hard reflections last week, I am going to focus on one group at a time (alongside my 1-1 offerings) and see where it leads to

For now this will be The Ancestors Circle, as it is where my heart and soul lie and where I have the most intuitive nagging

Hoping to go ahead on Tuesday 18th Nov @ 7pm, with the gathering of the Circle here in Market Weighton, just need to confirm I am not needed at a job that day and will share the promo

I know this is not a conventional or linear way of running a business, but finding my feet as an unmasking, disabled woman day-by-day in this new era πŸ•Š & I feel we need more inclusive, neuro-affirming ways of working that break the status quo (so why not put myself out there with my ideas!)

Comment or DM if you're interested in more info or joining The Ancestors Circle πŸΎπŸŒΏπŸ‘£
