🌞 With temperatures set to soar again this weekend...

Please be mindful of those most vulnerable in our community, the elderly, young children, and those with health conditions.

Here are a few simple tips to help everyone stay safe:

✅ Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water
✅ Keep cool – stay indoors during peak heat hours (11am–3pm)
✅ Check in – give a quick call or visit to neighbours, friends or family who might need support
✅ Never leave kids or pets in cars – even for a minute

Let’s look out for each other.

💛 Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly!

🌞 Warm Weather Alert: Check on Vulnerable Neighbours 🌞

As the temperatures rise, it's important to look out for those who may be more vulnerable to the heat — especially older adults, people with medical conditions, and those living alone.

At New Concept Care, we’re reminding everyone to:

✅ Check in on elderly or at vulnerable neighbours, a quick call or knock can make a big difference.
💧 Encourage regular hydration, offer water or gentle reminders to drink throughout the day.
🏡 Ensure their homes are cool, close blinds during the day, open windows at night if safe and use fans if available.
🧴 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion like dizziness, confusion, or heavy sweating.

A little kindness goes a long way in keeping our community safe and well. 💙
