🐾 National Pet Day 🐾

Pets have a wonderful way of brightening even the darkest days, sometimes all it takes is a wagging tail or a loving look to lift our mood. 💙

Here are just a few reasons why our furry (or feathered!) friends are so special:
✨ Encourage more exercise

Learning Disabilities Training ✏️📒

Recently, some of our team attended Learning Disabilities Training as part of their ongoing professional development.

This session helps our staff deepen their understanding of the differences between learning disabilities and learning difficulties, the various conditions individuals may live with, and how to provide support using a strength-based approach that promotes independence and dignity.

The training also focused on effective communication, including learning and using Makaton, helping our team connect and communicate more effectively with the people we support.

Throughout the session, our team shared their own experiences from their daily roles, using their knowledge and strengths to engage in meaningful discussions about best practice in care.

Continuous learning like this ensures we are always improving the way we support and empower the individuals in our care. 💙

🌍💊 World Health Day 💊🌍

This year’s theme, “Together for Health: Stand with Science,” is a powerful reminder of the importance of knowledge, collaboration and evidence-based care.

With recent outbreaks and ongoing health challenges, it’s more important than ever to stay informed and understand how science, vaccines and modern healthcare practices help protect not only ourselves, but those around us.

At New Concept Care & Nursing, working within the health and social care sector means we are committed to keeping up to date with the latest health and wellbeing guidance. This ensures we can continue to support our staff and service users to stay safe, well.

By standing with science, we stand together for healthier communities. 💙

🐣 Happy Easter from New Concept Care & Nursing! 🌷

Easter Sunday holds great significance for Christians around the world as it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolising hope, renewal and the promise of new life.

For many, Easter is a time of reflection and celebration, reminding us of the values of faith, compassion and new beginnings.

Over the years, Easter has also grown into a cherished cultural celebration, with traditions such as Easter eggs, egg hunts and the Easter Bunny symbolising new life and fresh starts, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the season.

From all of us at NCCN, we hope your day is filled with joy, reflection, time with loved ones, and perhaps a few sweet surprises too! 🍫💛

Today marks Good Friday, also known as Holy Friday, observed on the Friday before Easter. It commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for humanity.

Across the world, many people take this day as a time for quiet reflection. Churches fall silent as individuals pause to remember Jesus’ journey, his suffering, and the powerful message of compassion, forgiveness and selflessness.

Good Friday offers a moment to slow down and reflect on the deeper values in life; kindness, sacrifice and the impact our words and actions can have on those around us.

Whether through prayer, reflection, or simply taking a moment of quiet, today invites us to pause and consider the importance of compassion and understanding in our daily lives.
